I don't get the connection to ND? I suppose it was that you had to buy them and they likely profited. They made them free once deposits reached a certain threshold. OK again they probably took the cash from that profit to pay for the reader. I wonder if they just ran out now and don't want to buy a new box of cards and readers.

 

So MA did say they would keep the gold card going indefinitely for existing users! I thought they did!

But then again they said they wouldn't do cloud drops or something too... The old curse applies: "Entropia is dynamic" so is what MA say as opposed to what they do (or more often than not, don't do).

What I don't get is that they announce so much, that they don't do, which is popular (e.g. space courier missions) so they have a million things they could do which everyone would like....

so what do they do? Out of the small collection of things they actually do do, they decide to do something incredibly unpopular?

Why? What's the thinking here? Is there even any thinking?

Thanks for the flowers, although they are not fully deserved. If you like a laugh, that was on Cyrene's new Discord channel, someone was pestering their community manager about it, I criticized her because it's not the poor fella's job and referred to the ongoing chatter on PCF, upon which she showed me the official link in question someone else posted in the same channel earlier, which I then transferred to PCF to settle the matter. So I was only no. 3 in the chain and gave credit to them in the PCF post ;)

 

Well we can all give ourselves a pat on the back for quoting our sources like good researchers :D

 

Entropia pocket works well. A lot better than error code 404 or trying to insert the gc for 10 times before it would work.

 

I installed Pocket just to see if it will work with my old Android 4.1 phone. It does. Parenthetical observation: 5k downloads is the threshold it has made in the App Store. Okay, its use is not (yet) enforced, but it isn't entirely new either. Since this number is not in control of MindArk's PR department, I guess there will be no more claims of millions of accounts.

Google for “incentivized” downloads. Then you will understand how they managed to recieve 5000+ downloads.

 

Interesting... it doesn't entirely surprise me they got to 5k though even without that. I have a feeling 5k was what they got in their telegram chat room that gave free shitcoin too. Really 5k doesn't seem too unlikely though just through day to day Entropia users. I think the Gold Card hasn't been available for a while and a lot of people actually would rather a phone for that functionality (even if it appalls some of us).

The majority of people don't think about security or consequences.

I meant to point out that the number of app downloads looks rather low compared to the claimed number of Entropia accounts instead of the other way around, and that its display throws a wet diaper at their PR face who keeps dishing out these cringeworthy press releases. They can't sell the historical number of account registrations (if it was ever true) as an enormous-looking active playerbase anymore.

 

Most new players have no need for it.

 

I thought end of september will be the end of the goldcard ?



While it says my account is protected by "Gold Card"...I cant login using it anymore.

All I get is "Bad Code"...its says 2FA though, which I never activated...still showing the Gold Card animation.

If I want to activate 2FA, I dont get the QR-Symbol shown, but it asks for 2FA Code...which I cant enter...

Update :
I tried a 4th time with the Gold Card (shouldnt it be blocked after 3 tries ?) and this time it accepted the Gold Card code...and let me scan the QR Code.

And no, Im not drunk...no typos involved. Promised.

 

I'm in the middle of a mine field of holidays, work crazyness and moving house. So computer is in the "Room of Doom", gold card is in "Room of Doom", internet is almost non existent (walk down the road to the cafe).

It may be some time till I get back to Entropia to try. It might not be before September ends.
