Today I am close to leaving for my small holiday in Denmark, but how did I come to go to Denmark. Well a few months ago I asked in the forum for people that wanted to show me around for a day in one of Europe's capitols. Both my soc mate reacted (Bucharest) and Peter reacted (Kopenhagen). Although Bucharest looks pretty nice I choose to go to Denmark. Started looking for a nice hotel when Peter offered me the air bed at their place. First I though, "mmm, air bed, they don't sleep that well" but then I thought, "what the hell" and accepted the offer for a few days. Looked for a nice hotel for the remaining days and found a nice one near the harbor and Lykke was able to get me a nice deal for that (thanx again Lykke !). Then the flight. Peter offered to pick me up at the airport after his work on Thursday and go to their place by train. So I used Expedia.com to look for a flight that arrived somewhere at the end of the afternoon, so that would work out for Peter as well. After a bit I found a flight from Amsterdam to Kopenhagen leaving at 15:15 and arriving at 16:35, which should be fine. My next objective is to fill all my luggage in one small suitcase I can take with me into the plane, so I don't have to wait in line and because I am not a woman that should work out :) So if I check-in from my home before I leave or do that from the train on my way to the airport I should be able to walk right through without to much waiting. Lets see what happens.
I'm sure everything goes fine - and you can always wash some clothes at our place, in case you want to travel as 'light' as possible ... Just remember, you're not allowed to bring any fluent stuff into the plane by hand luggage (unless that was changed recently) ... and I believe that means perfume and deodorant and toothpaste ... :O We're looking forward to be meeting you :) I know for sure Peter polished the whisky glass' ha ha
I can bring fluent stuff, just not more then 100ml a bottle and packed in a transparent plastic bag. But I was planning to buy that stuff over there just in case, so I will probably not smell to bad :). I do hope Peter doesn't mind to much that I do not really like whiskey, but I am willing to give it a go, maybe I just did not have any of the good stuff. Is there anything I can bring with me from Holland for you guys, if it fits in my bag that is? Nope not planning to bring you guys and of those famous Dutch cigarettes, I think that will give me some trouble at the airport :)
OH KNOES I won't dare telling Peter you don't drink whisky RAZER ... let's keep that a secret here on this page. No one else would know and I wont' tell .. promise :P You like Beer? Then you still have a chance of success ... otherwise I'm not sure. You see, we drink all day long and night here and that's all that matters (JK !!!!). As long as you don't complain about my cooking, you'll be just fine :P And nope - don't bring anything other than a happy mood ^^
Beer, yes I drink that, so I still have a chance of Peter liking me :) I'm sure there is nothing to complain about with the cooking Lykke (well I hope ;)) Don't worry about the good mood, it is their already, it is a Holiday!!! I really hope the weather forecast is wrong though, looks like rain both here in Holland and in Denmark, but I'm sure there is plenty to do inside.
At this moment weather is beautiful. Amanda and i went to Bakken, a small adventure park in a forest. Wehad our lunch on a blanket and will soon walk into tha actual amusement park. These days santa is having the yearly conference of chistmas and there are santas all over from the whole world! I hope too weather will be this great in 3 days ^^
I checked in online and got my boarding pass as a QR-code on my phone (think KLM is one of the first to do that). This should let me walk right past everything and right to the plane (I hope). The weather is weird Lykke also here in Holland. the forecast is telling us rain for days and so far we had sun with sometimes a little rain, so if that's the case in Kopenhagen I'm OK with that.
Hmm, RAZER doesn't like Whisky? More Laphroaig for me then :D I'll be sure to drop a few brewskies in the fridge tonight, though. You do like Westmalle, right? Otherwise we'd be forced to drink Danish beer (Tuborg or Carlsberg).
