After our last content release, intrepid Islanders went to Ancient Greece and unlocked both the Athenian Headscarf and the Athenian Tunic. (I checked these two items out myself, and I was thrilled to see them in live, even after seeing them in test so many times.) After the release, players are also selling and shopping quite a bit. I’m so pleased to see the November blueprints are creating the foundations of our island’s economy! And, after much searching, players are finding Broken Elysian Technology in the jungle. These are a random drop, much like papplon, so they can be found all over the island. Keep your eyes open as you explore and hunt! Besides watching the reaction to November’s release, I’ve been a bit caught up in work for the next release. Speaking of which… Mindark’s next date to publish new content is January 24, 2012, and we’ll be releasing a new content update on that day! We expect to offer five new missions in Crystal Center. (Apologies to everyone who’s written to me, but none of them involve DiNapoli. Rest assured, my friends, his story is far from finished!) Our last release offered clothes and armor, so we are focusing more on weapons this time, and I anticipate the release of several new melee weapons. I’m sure you know that adding more blueprints for Next Island gameplay and for the economy is one of my personal goals. We’re not sure yet how many blueprints will make it in for January, but we’re working to add as many as possible, using island-specific materials, of course.
