    Hmmmm

Maybe you could put it up as prize for the next player of the month LOL. I bet we would see lots of entries then, and some really high scores.

Gratz on the new computer Itto.

Look what he did to me for that suggestion. :Beaten:

  2. I experience similar problems also with 1gb ram. Five or more AVs plus packed mobs and 'bad' terrain makes EU go into slow motion (lag). I used to hate it esp' as I never experience this with other 'online places'. But I've got used to it. Sure you missfire, etc, etc, and your timing goes, but then so do the mobs slow down so it's the same difference. The real killer though which I can't get over is when this happens when team hunting - the whole hunt just goes into chaos.

I've got almost no lag at all while playing EU. I use an Athlon 64 3500+ with 1 GB of RAM, an nVidia GeForce FX 5700LE 256MB and USB Speakers for the sound. My aDSL connection is 4 MBPS.

I can surely tell you that memory plays a role but it's not that important as the DSL connection is. Previously I had an aDSL connection at 1 MBPS and it was very laggy. Now everything is perfect. I get lag very rarely and only in avatar crowded places.

My EU Graphic settings are Fullscreen 1024x768, No AA, Maximum Visual Quality and all Graphic Troubleshooting boxes unchecked. Btw, AA must be turned off for max performance. Enabling it will most certainly cause problems a.k.a. lag.

Mind though that the PC has to be sychronized. That means the clock of the processor (or the HT on the Athlon 64) has to run in the same frequency as the RAM and the GFX Memory. For example, my HT on Athlon runs at 400 MHz, RAM runs at 400 MHz and the GFX Memory runs at 400MHz. This way the performance of the PC is maxed out.

I hope that helps a little for everyone that has same problems. :)

  4. I believe they also updated some servers at MA, so that should help fighting lag too I guess :-)

  5. I find turning on AA and Anisotropic filtering in the 3d options under the video card driver works great, rather than ticking the option under the EU options.

    Maybe MA implemented software AA?
