My english is terrible, I always got C- on the English course in college. I think all my teachers pity me in college and pass for that reason. I didn't know were the front and back of a word was. example: "I'm a computer technician." Before I knew this I thought the word in front of computer was "technician". But I was wrong. It was the letter "a" that is on front of the word "technician". I can't believe I'm starting to notice now with the conversation with my coworkers. No wonder it is hard for other people to understand me. I was telling then to put "/webmail" in front of the ".com". I feel so dumb. Why I'm realizing this now instead when I was small going to school? Why my brain is functioning properly now instead when I was small? These are question I answer my self. When I was in elementary school I use get F in English and Reading subjects. Math I did better. I understood it more. Thank You for reading and replying.
Uh well seems to me your English is pretty good. I don't know where you are from but here (Holland) we get English lessons from the age of about 10 I think. This is why we (the Dutch) are probably the best non native English speaking country in the world. It is pretty useful most of the time, but it is not when tourist come to Holland. They assume you speak English and don't even try to speak any Dutch. The reason I think we learn English at that young age is the fact that we are a small country and 1 or only a few countries that speak Dutch (Belgium, South African is almost Dutch, Suriname speak a bit Dutch, that's about it) and because we are a very large country when it comes to trade there is really no choice then to learn foreign languages. And so far it is pretty useful that I do :)
Well I'm from Miami, FL USA. My parents are from Puerto Rico. The teachers back in days didn't teach so good and the school I went wasn't good. I think that's the problem because now this is happening to some schools. But back when I was small I didn't know what was a good school or bad school. My parents didn't know either. I'm glad I know now for my 6 month old child. I have to take him to a good graded school when he grows up.
Funny thing is they end up giving it right back at the same time :D My liitle one is 13 mnths now, and she's already taught me about 5 years worth of "new stuff".
I never had a problem undertsanding you! Maybe we should have used voice chat more... 5 years of typing I never noticed! LOL
