It was the newcomer area on Calypso for a while. Just a starter area with NPCs in it that explained a few things about gameplay. IIRC there was also a part where you could hunt some real low-level MOBs. You had to consciously teleport to Calypso from there, to leave.
yeh I remember now. I have some screenshots from it that I spotted at the weekend. I think they reused some of it as the building at Corinth these days. I think the puny mobs were before we had them on Caly - a test of sorts. The Old Caly gateway probably got replaced with Thule. Before Thule there is a sort of "in spaceship?" bit I think in here you can edit you avatar multiple times. Once you leave (and end up at the Crystal Cavern, your avatar is set and can't be edited (except by players). I guess other new starters go to the same initial bit but end up at the other planets instead of the Crystal Cavern? (I think I heared that Rocktropia newbies go though Thule though and THEN TP to RT from a Teleporter on Caly. Is that right? Was there a swimming pool in the Caly gateway? Or am I thinking of that other place? That I think was in space maybe?
Swimming pool (hot tub) was in Twin Peaks bank for some time. Water tanks are at Monria appartments and...uhm...somewhere else
