Meanwhile I got two more vehicles. From Cyrene if I remember right.


OZtwo and I had a teamviewer session. Unfortunately I couldn't hear him while he heard me. But we had the EU-chat open and he choosed the figure with Pixie and Opalo ;-)
So we will go on with this one:

But back to old OZtwo. Since we know wich version we'll use, I treated the model in 3DS Max with "MeshSmooth". Here is the comparison:

It helps a lot to improve the model. What it does is comparable to what a renderer does: It makes the rough and edged figur looking smooth. That's really helpfull for 3d-prints.

 

Yea, unfortunately glasses are somhow invisible for the ripper. I don't know why. The transparent visor of the Predator Armor was grabbed. I've never ever found my Malachai Ash in a scan. But I can add some Linestripe glasses to your head. Seperatly won't work. It would be too small and thin. And transparent parts are nearly impossible. It's simply too small.
Regarding seperate tools and weapons: theoretically yes, practically I have to cut the hand from the arm. So tool with hand is removable from the figure and can be replaced by another tool with hand. Interesting idea. Especially since finger and twist of the hand are different from item to item. Look what happened to poor OZtow's wrist:

But I can try to make something like LEGO did with their small figures. A bolt at the hand and hole in the arm.

 

Removable items again. There is one limit: the position of the arms will always be the same. McCormicks figure isn't able to hold a twohanded blade with both hands. It would require a true action figure to make this possible. Maybe it will become my next project ;-)

 

OZtwo is repaired (yellow) at 20%:

Many, many bad, isolated, crossing and what not faces removed and hundreds of new faces built in a correct way to get watertight legs and ... ehrm ... well, the most important part of a man. At least the one, men are thinking with :-)

 

Well, those parts must fit to the special item. I would print hand and item as one part as I found them in the grab. I did something nearly like this at my Mallory:

 

Here is an example of how the original parts look like. The faces of lower and upper body intersect each other:

I remove some and build new faces to produce a correct connection between the parts.

 

Well, I flew to Arkadia to take a few screenshots of OZtwo's Pixie and Opalo. I forgot that lately when we met at Calypso for the 3D-grab. And hey, an "Arch Master Swordsman" doesn't use Pixie Armor! No offense, OZtwo ...
We had a good time at Celeste Harbour South at the "Moonshine Bar". It was nearly like in good old times when Kristin and I performed table dancing there. Wearing black sexy deluxe clothes, Malachai Ash Shades and what not. It seams that at least the Arkadia devs managed to let you dance unlimited. Nice move!

Well, I'm no longer rich in this game. So excuse that non-stylish wardrobe ;-)
Later I teleported to Sanctuary Cove to visit Freyr's and Zunami's shops. They are still there. That's good. But I couldn't buy a Sexy Tank Top - or whatever its called meanwhile - at Freyr's shop. At Zunmi's apartment I noticed, that "Bruner Lamp" is still bugged. Maaaaaan! After so many years!

What did I learn? It was the best decesion I ever made to leave Project Entropia and cash out. I mean, who the hell woud like to hunt in Pixie with an Opalo? No offence, OZtwo. Do what you want. But I wouldn't love it. How ever, we are on a good way to bring OpaloMan to RL! I really enjoy to talk to OZtwo ingame and make a figure of his ava.

 

Puhhh ... slowly

Many of the bad faces I had to repair were my fault. I forgot to weld the figure before smoothing it. So some lost contact to the rest during the procedure, producing intersections and and holes. I will do it better next time.

 

Okay, let's make a test run:

 

Bahhh ... I can see it already at 70 of 128 mm: The smoothing wasn't enough :-( The printer is accurate enough to show the flat details. Additionally the right shin is too aslope to be printed in a neat way. I'm afraid the same will happen to the left thigh:

 

No, not rendering. I put the repaired parts to a layer with yellow colour. But inspecting the printed part it seems that I am back at 0%. I am not satisfied with the result:
