Iron Sky is an Indie movie about a secret Nazi base on the dark side of the moon. Lykke and I just saw it tonight, and it was awesome. Seeing the movie was not made by any major backing studios, the crew has had some issues getting the word out, so we figured we'd toss them a bone this way and give them a thumbs up. Here's the trailer: > Unfortunately the cinema we saw it at was tiny, and we were one of 5 people who booked a ticket, but the movie is currently showing worldwide. If you have a chance, go and see it. Otherwise, make sure you pick up a DVD soon :) We both highly recommend it!
Seen it today, but did not go to the theater. Did not know it was an indie film. In that case I might have to buy it, it was a very interesting movie and probably gets some people from some countries thinking a bit about themselves :) Just checked, it is not playing anywhere near me. Just in some small cinema in Amsterdam
Will definately have to see it now :) If I like it I'll facebook it get that viral started ;) edit: rotten tomatoes has it at 41% critics and 57% at audience ...hmm maybe reserve caution ...
It's not a typical Hollywood movie, which might explain a few things. The story is actually quite nice, and considering the limited budget, the special effects are quite well done.
Iron Sky Forum (a community driven fan forum) is now officially approved by the Iron Sky Team (www.ironsky.net) - and even the director, Timo Vuorensola signed up yesterday! The forum is now open for members - so HURRY UP !!! And please, help them spread it =) Thank you! http://ironskyforum.com/index.php?portal/
hmm sounds interesting! maybe that could be an alternative for the movie we are going to watch next week
No, which for me makes it better. Now the Apollo Moon landing - that according to some was a Hollywood movie ;) Some think that the guy who did 2001: A Space Oddity was hired :)
Good news. The film was shown in Fantasporto - International Film Festival and got an award for "Melhores Efeitos Especiais/Fotografia" (Best Special Effects/Cinematography) If you're near Oporto (Porto), Portugal, there will be an aditional screenning at Rivoli today - 10MAR2013, 17:00 local time.
It had a "one day" release in the UK. I was kinda annoyed, my housemates all went to the next city to see it and didn't tell me!
