Kittens quick NI economy fix or how to keep new players in the game XD

  1. Step one is of course getting new players involved int he economy. Actually NI has made a BIG step toward this now with the new paint BP's. The fruit needed in this easy to loot BP will become demanded and will gain a real value fast. This will give new players a real chance to do a free activity that will get them the peds needed to try out a few things before they decide to deposit.

Step two is to continue that manner of making a thing newer players loot be in demand. Easy fix is a small line of level 1 bp that create limited (L) items and use the materials new players can loot. One weapon one healing tool one mining tool that can be crafted. Is (L) and uses items looted from easy boars and monkeys would be IDEAL. These items dont need to be amazing just slightly better than the TT items. A good basis would be to go into entropedia.info and sort each item category by level and see what kinds of stats a low level item needs. As (L) items with condition you also dont need to worry about balance of cost per click vs tt output as much because TT can be made up with residues. Low level 1 blueprints that made (L) condition items should generaly use an animal oil of some kind easy to get so that the animal oil residue which is also easy to get can be used in its crafting.

Step three would be to link this to your time travel. Make some higher level blueprints that make better (L) items and use the materials that can only be looted in ancient greece. Let people make a simple suit of armor. A slightly better Salve Kit for healing, A slightly better weapon. just make sure they are all (L) so that demand keeps up.

Step Four you hit the nail on the head with the optimus helm being lootable. I have not seen so many hunters on NI active in a long while. Just giving a few really cool lootable items brings in the players. Give fire drakes a special (L) spear that can be looted and can be used in ancient greece and you get a FLOOD of hunters.

just some idea and suggestion from a long time player

  2. Great ideas.

One little problem: i've noticed that , unlike regular stuff like oils and hides, you only ever get one NI-specific item per drop, and that their TT value is usually tiny. This is a blessing, whist there usn;t any use for them. But once there is, how worthwhile will it be to kill hoardes of creatures ,just to loot a few of the 1 pec item that you want? I only hope that , once the demand is there, the drop rates get altered accordingly

  3. Easy just require one of any one crystal or whatever and also need a couple ore and enmatter and an animal oil or two. Then you help all sides of the economy with a single blueprint

Also drop rate is low right now because most of the crystals and monkey parts are horded up in peoples storage. Hopefully once they get used up they start dropping heavier again

I'd like to see a few UL prints which consumed NI specific loot items. these prints should be relatively common so that with a little effort anyone could get one. they would produce some intermediate item that would then be used with some L print to make something useful.

something useful doesn't have to be a tool, although that isn't a bad idea. clothing and textures are also good choices. some handheld items would be nice. fireworks would be an excellent choice. once, a long time ago, we had fireworks and people loved them.

little things that have a social value can go a long way for the community.
