I have 3 EU related projects on my plate, other than my guild. These projects are, in order of when the idea occurred to me: Entropia Exchange - An Open Source based Entropia community forum. Im doing this more as a hobby than anything else, the idea being that many of the current forums are very complicated to look at, confusing to get news from, and are for the most part a little clumsy (in my opinion.) Im not sure whether I can do a better job at this because Im basically building the entire structure from the ground up. But Im working on it as best I can, playing with new ideas. Eventually I'll have a finished product I am satisfied with. The product in its infancy can be found at www.entropiaexchange.com. It may never take off or it might and do very well, but Im open to suggestions regardless on how to make this project work. Radio Free Entropia - Radio Free Entropia is something I've always wanted to do. As a musician myself and having alot of friends who are high quality musicians I wanted to put something together that allowed people to listen to them side by side with professional, label backed artists. Radio Free Entropia does broadcast, but the broadcasts are rare and spontaneous. The act of putting together a radio station is frought with all sorts of legal crap. Everyone wants to charge you an arm and a leg to get things to happen. Music isnt for entertainment anymore, its for business, and before you can start up everyone wants their cut. There are services like Live365 out there that make this easier, but those services are quite expensive. I'd rather have a sponsor within EU pick up the show, rather than have me create a full radio station around the concept. The idea can be found at www.radiofreeentropia.org. Next Island Free Public Voice Chat - This is a new idea. Basically it gives Next Islanders a quick way to distribute news and events amongst themselves. Say for instance I was starting a broadcast on RFE. Rather than rely on people who may be checking the forums, and those who are within my immediate vicinity or on my friends list, I can now let anyone know who happens to be logged on that this event is happening. The advantage of voice chat is quicker communication and a more interactive community. Anyone interested in helping develop these ideas, market them, and get them off the ground should message me as Im finding myself a bit overwhelmed with other real life projects right now. Of course I can always simply wait and do these things as time permits. That may happen yet. Im simply curious if anyone out there has similar ambitions and interests.
