Logged out view of EP ... constant sexual & dating adverts.

Hi Admin,

Something that is getting a bit annoying is these singles sexual meetup adverts and dating agencies. I know your using cookies, but why are they popping up for me ?

I don't visit such sites and have not visited sites like them.

I notice other adverts which are fine, most of which is based on forum content I have posted, like surveying, mining, retirement, cloud computing, sql databases etc.

Would this have something to do with the recent spam attacks on AWF ?

They have only been popping up since my last few visits there in the recent month.

Anyway, is there a way to content filter them or the like ?

Ah I missed that thread, it has just started for me in the last few weeks since going to another forum which had suffered several spam attacks at the time.

 

Hey, I ran the norton 360 full scan and it deleted a who bunch of tracking cookies. No viruses or trojans found, however found 37 tracking cookies.

Seems ok now, well last 2 visit have been about mining industry jobs :)

 

Ok, stranglely the last logout advertised this site - Google sense Ad preferences.

Ok - Found the cookie info, this is my cookie's profile.
I see nothing about sex/dating in it, so why does it serve it ?

BTW, I never setup these categories, it has done that automatically.

PS. The last 2 logouts gave me married woman and a swinger ads.

 

Each new thread I go into while logged out, eg, latest news on arkdia treasure hunting. It pops up with a new set of ads, still mainly sexual based content.

Sorry I can't figure this out. I will just put up with it for now.

PS. Is it possible to make a complaint to google about it ?
Do you want me to take screenshots ot pass to google ?

 

Maybe its demographically based on some sort of viewing statistic ?

 

I can do this all night, but I think you get the point. I checked my cookie profile again, nothing in there about such advertisements being taken out.

It seems to have cleare dup a bit ... however it is still occuring.
The main ones are from xxxxxxcupid.com at this time.
