If you vote for my entry "George Ace Skywalker - CN 20, level 7" in this competition: http://arkadiaforum.com/showthread.php?4620-quot-Rooftop-Madness-quot-voting-poll-(Arkadia-Interior-Screenshot-Competition) I will pay 1k peds to all those who vote for me and I win. i.e. I have allocated 1k peds so if I was to win with 33 votes that would be 1k/33 = 30.30 peds per person who voted for me. Q: Why am I doing this? Answer: To show what a mockery these type of events really are and hopefully if I win to run this event again under my selection system so that we can then hopefully see who the real winner is. Q: What will happen when event is over? Answer: Once the event is over. The people who voted for me can claim their peds from me. Also I will then make a new selection based on this system: http://arkadiaforum.com/showthread.php?4260-A-fairer-competition-selection-system Hopefully we will then have a true winner and I will then hand the prize over to whoever that is. Important Edit: 1) Due to feedback I will no longer be paying peds for anyone who votes for me unless situation mentioned in point 2 below arises 2) If Arkadia dev are ok for payments to be made for votes then yes I will pay as initially intended 3) Many people I don't think understand the whole purpose of this. As such to make it clearer if I win my entry will be removed from the second selection system. My entry would be replaced by another entry which was not selected. Note to moderator could you please change thread title to "Looking for votes".
That would depend on what Arkadia team allow or disallow. What is it really that bothers you? Are you so against a fair selection ?
Too agitated at first I think, maybe that's because you guys removed our country flag off street But still it is not a good move no matter what your goal is. I still disagree with you even you changed the money giving rule, it already ruined the event anyway.
Then we are in agreement. I'm against soliciting for votes as well as paying for votes. In this thread I mentioned what I consider to be a better system: http://arkadiaforum.com/showthread.php?4260-A-fairer-competition-selection-system Most people I think allready know a selection system based on forum votes is flawed. So why on earth use it? That is the whole point of this. I'm hoping in the end we have a fairer system. One where you don't have to do this: Which is far better than people who do this: Which is even better than this: All of it is wrong.
I don't like the idea of George paying people to vote for them, but sadly that is what happens IRL as well and I like the fact that he points out a flaw in the system. I have reacted in the thread on AKF with my own idea, so lets see if we can come up with a better system for these competitions.
I don't really think ask people to vote for someone is a bad thing, it is a basic promotion that let people who not active in forum informed there's a event and one of their friend are participating this. I don't know why you want to tie this with people who creating alt accounts and worse that paying for votes like what you just did. I appreciated that you want to create a fairer voting system/ event, but I can't agree with what you just did in any ways. Damn I so regret I deleted my original post before go to sleep. You would get alot more credit if you just create another event that uses your own selecting system and prove that is doable instead of messing up a event that runs for months. I hope your selection system would be work at the end, not kill this event for nothing. And I also hope you would be disqualify and temp ban from Arkadia forum for what you did that killed others' hard works.
Sorry, I would but found that Alaina Bonnie Scotia layout looked much better. Why are you asking people to vote for you and in return giving them money?
In the hope that future merit based events are fairer e.g. not down to popularity contest but rather merit of all entries
I thought hard and long about that. You may be right but if you do nothing, nothing really changes. All the corruption left right and centre just continues...
