I am livid with Mind Ark and have lodged a support case about the following (in which I am getting nowhere)! I placed an ad recently but all that was displayed is a blank screen - there is not text showing, and I created the ad in the usual way. I had to do a few 'backspaces', etc, until the wording was right, and then i submitted it and 30 ped was deducted - but hours later after standing infront of numerous ad-boards around EU, my ad could not be seen. The only logical explanation, must have been this 'blank screen' that appeared for 30 seconds in the middle of other ads. This must have been my ad. Anyway, thinking this was just a one off glitch, I repeated the ad a day later, and the same thing happened. Infact, even Simon and Emma at PA were wondering themselves why they were seeing a blank screen (I had gone there to ask them if they could help me in any way) for 30 seconds in the middle ogf other ads. Anyway - as said above, i have lodged a support case with MA, but they are so arrogant, that they won't even reply. Have other ppl experienced similar problems with creating ads?
very surreal with blank ads I say :p makes you think! Sorry, on this one i can't help you Good luck with the MA support
Thanks, np ;) Yep - blank ads is very surreal. I've used ad-boards before and everything was ok - this never happened before... It's the 60 PED in total for blank ads that annoys me though, lol.
I used the ad boards a few times in the past with no probs, so I'm sorry to hear your ad didn't work. I hope MA can give you a helpful answer.
one or 2 VU's ago I placed a very expensive ad (approx 400 PED), only to find a day later that the whole ad system had broken down. Follwing the next VU, the ads were back, so I asked for the amount to be refunded as my ad hadn't been seen. No chance. So, I haven't used the ad system again since.
Well, thanks all once again. I've had a response from MA but it's not very positive - they're basically saying that the EULA covers them against things like glitches, acts-of-god, etc, and basically they are using this argument against me for anything that happens in EU and not just in RL (i.e. physical Net connection problems, etc)... So, I won't be using the ad syatem again for a long time either.
Oh my, what a way to slip through the problem and get away with it It's true however that if we really read the EULA, we will stop playing
Most user agreements hold the company harmless for any problems, but in order to ensure customer satifaction and to increase sales etc, exceptions are usually made. It better to have a satififed customer as a happy customer will tell 3-4 people about the experience and a disatified onw will tell 10-12 about the problem. In the case of Nexus7's problem, would running the add one more time be too costly or is the fact that the story will ( according to business research ) be told to at least 10 people ( myself included ) that will not use the service now, ever. For the cost of $6 US, they are sacrificing $60 US. It doesn't seem to make good business sense, but then again customer service has never been a priority with MA it seems. My :twocents:
"It doesn't seem to make good business sense, but then again customer service has never been a priority with MA it seems." Kets You are certainly right on this one Kets. Seventy five percent of the problem with EU is their lack of priority of the customer. This business is run by greed only. Customer service is a sham. They always have a way out of doing anything unless it is costing them money then they move really quickly.
