Might I add a word of caution here. Everyone should have a good virus program running at all times. Any program that ask you to turn off your virus scanner for any reason is automatically suspect. Good anti-virus programs will not slow your computer down and scan everything e-mail included. They may be a bit pricey but when you see the alternative like what is happening here then it is well worth the expenditure. I recommend also a good anti-spy wear like Ad-Aware. I wish you all the best of luck and hope you are able to get rid of these malicious programs with a minimum expense. :-(

  3. Again - Barts PE and housecall antivirus is a good combination here - allows you to 'see' your infected windows environment from another 'temporary' environment where none of the infected stuff is running. You can then disinfect that system and reboot into is safely.

Also, look into 'rootkit unhooker' tools as these may remove the barrier to the infected items if they are re-propogating from a rootkit.

    H0 h0 h0 h00! I have returned!
I deleted C:\ drive, recreated it, installed windows, installed all the nessesary/unnessesary stuff, smacked computer around and started Antivir program again. All .exe and unistall files were infected in other drives, so I had to delete them. Basically I lost (almost) all my games and programs,:scare: but music, pictures, .rar, .zip, .iso ect ect survived.
For the record virus type was W32/Virut.AA.
