Here is an idea.. How about Amps for melee weapons. There are amps for everything else. These could be energy amps for the e-blades, or even some sort of energy addition amp for the non e-blades such as axes.
I've always hoped some form of melee amp would be introduced. After playing Enclave for a while, I really liked the poison blades, which kept doing damage to an enemy for several seconds after use. And were a nice poison green I think. So I am all for energy/electric/poison type amp effects on blades. With an electric amp, my axe1's would be like new again. :hehe:
What about armor boosts? Then you could beef up your crappy armor with some kind of platin... Uh, wait ...nevermind that. What about some kind of skill boost like an imp...uh...Does anyone have an intelligence chip for sale?
As EU is trying to imitate RL, I don't think you can use amps for melee weapons, as far as it concerns the physical ones (Katsuichi Swords, Axes), the ones that exist in RL I mean. But your thoughts give me an idea on this. How about some Mind Essense Amps? Amps that transform Mind Essense into Poison, Stun etc. This idea could also be used for ranged weapons as well. :)
This works but melee weapons are not the same in game as they are in RL. In game most blades are no more than a laser type blade. you could increase the power to those blade causing them to do more damage. Also with the non energy melee you could add a laser to them to add damage or perhaps adding an amp that simply sprays acid/poison in the blade.
