November is always a hectic month for gaming as everyone tries to get their game out in time for for Christmas. This year we added Lord of the Rings Online's first expansion, Mines of Moria, into the mix. So many games and so little time. Well, for this expansion I made time. There was no way I was going to miss what promised to be an epic addition to the game. I've always liked Turbine's interpretation of the Dwarven interior areas... READ MORE

The gates of Hell have opened in the middle of London, unleashing legions of demons upon the unsuspecting populace. Well mostly unsuspecting, I mean c’mon in every game or movie somebody sees these things coming. Hellgate London is the post Apocalyptic MMO brought to you by the folks at Flagship Studios. Hellgate London is not what most gamers typically consider an MMO... READ MORE

Final Fantasy XI, by Square Enix, has enjoyed a successful run over the course of the last three years; four years if you were playing the imported Japanese version. The game has changed dramatically during this time, with the addition of three expansion packs, and numerous content updates provided to the players for free. Bringing in an approximate 500,000 subscriptions a month, FFXI has proven itself to consistently please its old player base, while continuing to draw in new customers to the world of Vana'diel... Auto Assault has a lot of potential. As you'll see from other user comments, there's still a long way to go. There are a lot of requests for user driven modifications, and changes to the game, and the user base is absolutely dismal right now, which hinders the "role playing" experience for the user. In a few months, perhaps this game will show its true potential and become the great game it could be. That being said, the game is very enjoyable... READ MORE

I think it takes a certain type of player to play FFXI. You definitely have to be dedicated to stay interested and relevant. Just fair warning...

I used to play Final Fantasy when you got it with the Nintendo. I know a lot might have happened since then with the game - but I absolutely LOVED it! We also recently watched the movies as inspiration - and they are beautifully made. Special yes, a twisted mix between new age and mysterious religion. Might require some special kind of players - but interesting it is. Unfortunately my pc wasn't able to run the online game when I was going to try out the trial :( which still bugs me!
