You may have already seen these, but I was very impressed by them and thought you might like them. As best I can tell, they do not install anything on the comp, and I think the hobnox page just needs flashplayer installed to work well. I thought the hobnox page might be of interest to Phunksta and any musicians out there, as I noticed it has numerous pedal type effects. I think if you register at the page (which is probably free ) you can record and save your own rhythms. This page, http://lab.andre-michelle.com/tonematrix is a cute little looping player that is seductively simple yet lots of fun to tinker with. Just click on the squares to switch them on or off. This page, http://www.hobnox.com/audiotool leads to the Audiotool. The Audiotool has presets for some pre-made start points, or blank if you want to make your own. The drum&bass preset is the wildest to look at, as it has multiple pieces of equipment simulated. Left clicking the screen lets you drag it around, also zoom buttons are in top right corner. You can click at the bottom left to add more items, and the plugging of them is nicely simulated with connecting inputs to outputs. Several foot pedals are available, as well as beatbox type items, which I thought is a great way of experimenting and seeing what the items do/how they behave.
The hobnox is pretty amazing! For an online freebie you could get hours of fun out of playing with pedals etc! Compared to Logic Pro, it's a little bit primitive, but considering what we paid for that software you'd expect something a bit impressive! Great find BurgerMan! 8)
Thanks Phunksta. The Logic Pro software is certainly quite an investment, but it looks like it is a very powerful package, and I'm looking forward to hearing more tracks from you and Scattamah. :ok: Meanwhile, and for no particular reason other than I've had this file for ages and stumbled upon it tonight while checking an old folder, here is what is probably the spookiest midi file and melody I have heard. I think it is from a game, not sure, but I found it on a web page ages ago. Hope you enjoy it. (midi not allowed so I zipped it for upload)
Turns out it is from the game The 7th Guest. Bunny used to play it, she says this music appeared when you were in a childs room, full of dolls, which was also a haunted room. :)
The song appears in both The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour (sequel). Both great games with difficult level puzzles. These were the for runners to the Myst series. All great games. And you only had to pay once hehehe
Hmmmm Tell me Cee, do you spend much time in the attic playing with the dolls?? hehehe It was and is quite a popular midi file because it is so spooky, so you could have heard it anywhere. Especially in the attic.
"Mother, she's just a stranger. She's hungry, and it's raining out!" "Uh-uh, Mother-m-mother, uh, what is the phrase? She isn't quite herself today." "Mother! Oh God, mother! Blood! Blood!" :hehe: The dark, dank fruit cellar can sometimes be just as scary as the attic. :hehe:
Damn it I've been rumbled. Sousixe and the Banshees has just sprung to mind, I may be revisiting some of their albums later :).
Just to pull this thread even further off topic, I found this remix version of Mama and thought some of you might enjoy it. A creepy song to start with, this remix oozes malevolence imho. Mama drum & bass style And while I'm at it, you might enjoy this disturbingly funny music dance clip. :hehe: Girlie Man PS: They are both external links to youtube videos.
