Neverdie Island

  1. OK I needed a break from Papoos (almost got Swordsman (hit) and (dmg) to 2.8 so I can go to Ancient Greece and wield the Labrys credibly) so went off to get some teleports added.

I wandered to the east coast forcing Petite Papoos to race off in cardinal directions as I went (that has to be a bug, I've taken to shooting them before they are out of range but I'm trying to raise swords) and swam to Neverdie Island. I swam down as far as I could, it's really dark down there! Bottomed out around z=14. I'd have taken a screenshot but all you can see is my TT blade glow. No sharks, that's probably a good thing. Swam the shortest distance, from some random sand flat to Raver's beach for the TP.

Saw a creature dot on my radar, moving about, but invisible! Passed right by me but still couldn't see it. Then I looked up and saw a Buka Bird. Then it flew off. This makes the 3rd time I've seen a Buka Bird but before I could target it, it was gone. Can anyone really hunt these things?

I ran up towards the ERUPTION sign on the path indicated here:

and silly me, I get all the way up there, but before running into the giant corny looking skeleton attraction for whatever TP, I say to myself, oh look, an area with lava, let's go see. Oh, flying things. Oh, one is coming towards me at great speed. Death drake old alpha...

So, minus that TP, I appeared in Club Neverdie, the apparent source of the inescapable music all over the island. Those are some speakers...one tip I learned, if you want to see how close you are to the skill recommendations for the AG weapons, the full line of them is on display on the shopkeeper mannequin next to the sign that says "vehicle parts." Also noteworthy in that complex, a series of ramps and stairs leading up to what appears to be a diving board into a pool below, but if you decide to take it, better get a running start because I jumped off from a standing start and it lands you on the rocks, not in the water!

Super annoying thing at Club Neverdie, every 6 steps you cross some invisible real estate boundary and get a blinking message notification that you have entered an area or left some other one.

    Really, really annoying.

I could see that race track in the distance, that looks bizarre and cool.

Well, at any rate, have a TP foothold on Neverdie island, it's a start. What I ran through seemed entirely lacking in wildlife aside from the killer dragons and a couple random papoos at the club. What does one do on this island of annoying music?

  2. Turn off the music :) Also skeletons are unique to that part of Next island. Also my two favourite NI mobs are located in good spawn around ND island. The Snow drakes at the top of the Ice tower(only way up is to fly or use a personal TP chip). And small Great Whites off the shore of the Versus Nightclub area.
Also the only owned shops on NI are at CND area.

EDIT: CND used to be the main hang out, people used to start with about half the TP's on that island.

  3. I have to disagree. I was wandering around the trails and huts around the Crystal Center area with all the huts and waterfalls and such, and happened upon a player shop. I bought about 4 pieces of pixie armor there. Around 136440, 84220 ish.

  4. Oh ya, those, I keep forgetting about since they are technically not shops but houses with shopkeepers in them, my bad.

  5. ah, ok, didn't know the distinction, so one is an estate, the other is a shop.

  6. red

    congratulations on the swim.

it's always handy to hunt down extra teleporters, as you never know when you'll need them. however, myself, I don't go to that small island very much. too many taxes, amongst other things.

  7. Shops are estates too. A shop is an estate that has the item sales bit turned on, so you can, if you want to, assign prices to items placed inside. You could have a shop and use it as a regular house or apartment. To sell stuff elsewhere, or to increase the number of items you can sell, you need shopkeeper pads. Used to cost +3500 ped last i looked
