Eula Just a few changes in wording but content is basically the same. I only have one concern with it. "You agree to accept personal liability for all actions that occur through your Account or through the use of your Login and/or Password, whether done by you or by someone else using your Account. You agree to hold MindArk free from liability for any improper or illegal use of your Account. This includes illegal or improper use by someone to whom you have given permission to use your Account. The terms of this agreement shall extend to anyone else using your Account." Shrewed wording by corporate lawyers. The last sentence says it all. Now to me this translates to IF YOU GET HACKED IT IS TOUGH AND TOTALLY YOUR FAULT. No mention of gold card account being safe or even better then regular non gold card accounts. I find this to be a worry. Next is this line here..... "The Participant also agrees upon not using any Third Party software or equipment that influences the Entropia Universe in any way." I believe Autoclicker and like programs falls under this ruling. But as usual it is in the individuals interpretation.
I cant see that this sentence rules out autoclickers, since they dont "influences" the game (yes i know its a Universe, so sue me ;) ) because its just a automation of game functions BUT it clearly rules out any kind of "bots" that uses the game code\interface in other ways I think the only real clearification was this: Now its clearly illegal to use more then one account The rest is pretty much, as stated by Bunny, CBS ;)
well done :surprise: This is how i read it too . A autoclicker have no influence to EU , it runs completely separate from EU , doesnt use or change the datastream or anything else from EU.
autoclciker and PEA traced Hi, To be sure, I did some traces by logging all (Cisco router), especially with the pea/autoclicker because you can make a keylogger into the program and the user installs it without knowing it. I only could trace some updates from the pea for prices. Those programs are really save. So pls use them, there very handy also :) Leeloo
Some interesting things on EF :hehe: http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29803&page=3&pp=10&highlight=autoclicker Status: "IMHO If you cant play the game in its own program and need outside assistance, then the game has already beaten you." http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19983&highlight=autoclicker Thoreau: "Those that haven't been around long don't understand how autoclickers have affected the balance of the game. Players used to stand in the middle of 10 mobs with an IMP Fap and skill evade all weekend while they were afk. So, now they have over 300 HP. How can you compete on a level playing field with someone with 300 HP? Now with the ability to sell skills people who use autoclickers can profit from using them. Autoclickers make the playing field unbalanced. Those that use them skill faster than those that don't. If you want to play the game then 'play' the game. Using a clicker isn't playing the game." But I especially like this last one: http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27838&page=2&pp=10&highlight=autoclicker KapokWu: "I belong to the tight school of thought, which states that autoclickers altogether should not be used, since they change the social climate in the game. You cannot be sure if there is "anybody there" behind the avatar. The basic trust on seeing someone online and thus "addressable" disappears. Also, societies tend to fragment and the game becomes more selfish. :surprise:
Well if this is whats bother ppl then first of all that is no longer possible to do since the mob behavior is changed and trapped mob dies. Second there is only one place the AC is needed and that is at the Crafting machine So either give crafting a real overhaul or build in a timer\ac into the crafting console I can even think that the builtin timer\ac could be limited to 1h\720 click per session, that would stop some weekly long sessions aimho
I agree there should be a proper solution to this ingame for crafting. It would seem to be a responsible move for MA to introduce a way to reduce possible RSI and wrist/hand strains during crafting. Perhaps a "craft using all materials" mode, where if you loaded the craft machine with the materials, it would go ahead and manufacture. You still need to provide all the materials, therefore your costs are the same. Same decay goes to MA as does currently. There have been some excellent discussions in EF with suggested solutions to any autoclicking: A timer for crafting, or a use all materials option. A test box appears onscreen sometimes during crafting, if you click in the box you can continue autocrafting. It means you prove you are present, without needing to sit clicking constantly. For auto-sweaters, a bomb that appears occasionally in sweat loot window. If the avatar does not drop the bomb, after a time the avatar dies. Inhabitants of EU are regularly suggesting ways to improve EU both for them and for MA. I hope MA starts to integrate some of the better suggestions soon. (I can see 81889 indications that a trapped mob does not die. hehe)
I thought the best people to ask for an opinion about all this would be MindArk themselves. I have often said that what a player does is their personal choice, but to be discrete about some things. Perhaps discussing using autoclickers in open EF posts is a little risky. hehe MindArk say, "06 Jul 2006MindArk Support:Dear participant, Auto clicking software is not endorsed by MindArk PE AB (publ) and if anyone is found violating the End User License Agreement (EULA), actions will of course be taken. Regards, Entropia Support " :search: :search: :search:
MA is always able to confuse the particiants :hehe: In my dictionary the word "endorsed" is translated as (eng/ger/eng) "supported". So i would guess that the question to this answer was " is there an autoclicker in EU ?" the rest of the answer is a standard sentence > Yes i know , if anyone is found who is violating the EULA , there will be actions against him. Or have you seen the ppl who autoclicked at the LG desaster or the ATH spider trapper online again ? :search:
Thank You Stratos Thank you Stratos. Although auto clicking does not change the MA code in anyway it does have an impact on the game as you can see by the example of the land grab etc. And granted it has been going on as long as the game has so has been accepted. I think it is time to put this topic to rest, for no matter what is said on either side no one is the winner. It is one of those so called "gray areas". I say we move on to religion, politics or soccer hehehe JUST JOKING !!!!!!!!!!!! :hehe:
