Next Island, where the name came from.

Okay so I downloaded Next island Origins from iTunes. Short version, Scientists started their own island colony on Earth in the 80's. The worlds super powers were ready to go to war over a cold fusion energy source the scientists where working on. Turns out the scientists discovered time travel by mistake. The scientists that went through ended up here, and called the place "Next Island".
Just incase anyone was wondering why it's called "Next Island"
