Next Island's January 24th content contributions

Meg has just sent out a mail with news about the Next Island contributions to the January 24th release.

Here it is, hot off the press (slightly edited).

Next Island's entire staff is working feverishly to make this release even better than November's content release.

January's content will include five new missions for beginning players, which makes a total of six introductory missions with November's release of Miranda Stratford's coloring tutorial. (And, for the greedy looters among you, Miranda's mission will provide you with a Colorator even if her boyfriend Tom has already given you one in the old version of Inventing A Color!)

Beginning players can speak to the new NPC Malcolm Campbell for a blueprint to create Tropical Shades, and then speak with the other Arrival Alley NPCs to learn where and how to find the required materials. By the end of these starter missions, players should have the knowledge and equipment to begin life on Next Island.

For long-term Next Island residents, we're adding over a dozen new, craftable weapons. Attached are two exclusive screenshots of the new Sword of Courage, one of five swords that can be used in Ancient Greece. The Sword of Courage is only available as a crafted item, and can be created with the following ingredients:

Cyclops Wrist Guard

Cyclops Leg

Cyclops Pouch

Cyclops Eye

Cyclops Arm

Cyclops Club

Apophylite Crystal

Atacamite Crystal

Bornite Crystal

Atlantasite Crystal

There will also be four other swords to be used in Greece. For tropical Next Island, we're releasing a craftable collection of melee knives and slicers. We're also releasing several versions of the all-new Next Island Pistol. They'll be craftable Elysian technology, so I hope you hung onto any Elysian Tech Chips and Elysian Power Spheres!

I was a bit late coming to NI does this mean I've missed the boat? I've got one tech chip from a mission. Where do i get more of these? And where do I get power spheres?

The Sebastian's find mission is going to be repeatable, and I got 4k tech chips from that, plus they can be found lying around with dung/fruit/stones (though I haven't found any yet).

You get a BP for the power sphere from one of DiNapoli's missions, in Crystal bay.
