As if the posting bug weren't bad enough; as if Meg making like a Spambot weren't enough, we now have actual spammers on NI Life forum, burying what little bit of genuine content made it through the maze. I give up. It's 3 freaking months now, and nothing's been fixed, it just gets worse and worse. Meg, please stop posting links on NI LIfe. We see them repeated a hundred times over, but when we click on them we only get "Database error" every time. They are completely unenlightening, just another source of annoyance. If nobody on the team has the know-how to fix the forum, then please employ somebody who does. Or make a new forum. Anything but ignore it. Anything at all. By now, I'd rather have no forum at all than this half-assed pretence of a forum jay

I hate to say it, but to me (and I'll stick my neck out and say I'm a typical player of next island) there almost seems to be some sort detachment between Meg and.... er well... I'm not sure really? Something? Us? the next island staff? the forum? actually playing the game? I don't know... it almost feels like she gets memo's saying "This has been released, hype it up on the blog please" and thats it. Its almost like she doesn't know the forum is knackered. Without it, its killing the community which NI desperately needs right now as there are so few players. As a new player there I feel very isolated and alone and well.... its just not that fun when there are friends in game telling me to go to Arkadia cause its better for this sort of thing. I'd like to give NI a decent go though but I feel like I'm playing a forgotten about game.... Wistrel
ahh see Meg posted well ok I guess she does know the forum is out ;) I was probably being a little harsh but yeh... I do feel a little lost on Next Island. Which is a shame cause it should feel more like a small close knit community. I think the lack of forum is really leaving the player base without a way of communicating. People will just get lonely and go to another planet... Well thats my feeling anyhow Wistrel
I just purchased a booth there, and I am not sure how best to advertize it since the forum there is down. I think ill put up an add thread here once I have it figured out, but would have been nice to be able to advertize on the planets 'official' forum. narfi ps. are there no add displays on NI?
Believe me its crossed my mind. I think NI could man up and say "ok folks our forum's knackered" everyone move to EP for the next coupla months or so till we fix it. Might help
Or: "Move to EP for the next 2 weeks while the EP guys get our own all new, shiny and working forum up and running". Help has been offered months ago already.
Just came home from watching http://www.themysteriousisland.com/ How cool would it be if Next Island was more like that. Mobs would be awesome!
