I like my game systems like I like my Metal: Black. A week ago, the black Wii was a rumor, but this morning, Nintendo officially unveiled the onyx console. That's a picture of it above. As you can see, the black Wii is bundled with MotionPlus controller-enable WiiMote and Nunchuck, and comes with both Wii Sports and its sequel, Wii Sports Resort. It will retail for $200 and will be available on May 9. If you like the classic, played-out Wii, the same bundle will be available in white, too. Personally, I think white electronics have had their moment in the sun, and it's time to move on to new colors and styles. Black is much cooler (although it draws fingerprints), but what I really hope makes a comeback in the next generation of console are those wood-grained cabinets they used to pack everything in the 1970s.
