Watched the entire video - couldn't believe it at first.:o Don't know how it overcomes one's own ISP connection speed, but I'm going to try this and see what happens.
I think the answer to that is - it doesn't. Latency and intermittent speed drops aren't something which can easily be overcome. That aside, this is an interesting way to enjoy trying different games, and as super fast internet becomes the norm perhaps this will become the arcade of the future?
Thanks Phunksta, another very interesting link. It would certainly be nice not having to try and locate game updates manually. I'm in the process now of reinstalling a bunch of older games I own, and half the web sites they send me to for updates are no longer there. :-({|=
Just went to www.gaikai.com - the people behind this, and red the intro at the bottom of the home page, then I went to 'Demo' at the top of the page, but no demo ran. Instead I was told that I was trying to access a members area and that I would need a password, etc, which of course I don't have... You're also prompted to sign-up as a tester of the beta service at this stage - so I clicked on the link which took me to a registration form and completed it before submitting. I was then told that I would be informed as to when the beta version would be available in my area (currently it's only available in California). So I suppose I'm just waiting for that, then I can try and use it...
