Hi there, David Post wrote last year, that the CES will be the big introduction of Next Island... Okay. We have a planet. But no real content there. And now? Okay, I might not be the tech freak like others, but I do not hear anything related to Next Island in the news of the CES. Do they have there no internet? And why don't we get here - in the official forum - any news about it??? Not listed as exhibitor... No news in the forum... 5 seconds in NECN report about CES... Okay, let's check back - David said: We will open our Beta on Dec 7-8 so you all can play - it will not be publicized. - check. VU 11.5.1, Dec 8th 2010 We will have our trade launch - to the media at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on January 5th. This was the decision I made because we will have TV coverage then. - err... Okay, the above said 5 seconds. But was it really a trade launch? We will announce and allow the media entry on Jan 5th at the Digital Experience Show at CES. - ??? We will have our consumer launch around the 3rd week of January 2011 with events in New York City and Los Angeles (maybe other places as well). - ? Two weeks to go... My reasoning is, that we make some impact which cannot occur in December, but can occur at CES. I did not want something almost finished, and then have to make excuses. David, please! Is it finished or not? Please talk to us!!!
Yes Next Island was featured at Digital Experience(although I haven't seen any videos on the net about it, DE was televised). DE is a day long event the day before CES starts. Basically it is the "opener" for CES. I was on a demonstration hunt with Tenacity(who was live at DE) and a few others during the demonstration. Digital Experience is hosted by Pepcom. Hope that cleared things up for you, one Fox to another :)
