Nvidia Version: 77.72 Video Too Bright

    The latest Nvidia graphics drivers (v77.72) seem to be causing many people problems with video brightness settings. In case you have this problem, this info might be helpful. I used this method to fix the Nvidia settings on my computer.

    This should download a file from Nvidia called "nvgamma.reg". Save this file to disk, and then right click on the file and select "MERGE".
    Play a video or DVD so you can check the settings.
    Now you go to the Nvidia properties tabs, goto the Overlay tab, select ALL and press Restore Defaults.
    Now you can select Overlay and the gamma should be set back to zero. Set the brightness and contrast to suit you, press OK and it will hold that setting now. :-)
