  1. ok i got to get this out of my system.. lol
i am getting quite annoyed by these buggers now... i have killed over ten of them, and they cost me around 20 ped each to kill (with ammo and decay) and sofar i have gotten TWO loots !! ><

more than eight no loot in a row, from a mob that costs 20 ped to kill... come ON! ><

i have killed them many times before, and it doesnt matter what day or what time, getting ANY kind of loot from the pirate first mates is ridicolously hard ><
gaaawhhh..... ok, im done, just had to get it out :)
thank you for listening to my whining, im ok now :D

  2. I hear you Jelly.

Let me be a complete arse and inform you of a ~435 PED HoF from a Village Boar Provider I saw on the HoF list the other day - has a whole 20 HP so kill cost is around 6 pec.

Wasnt me but some in this game benefit from economic 'balance'.

  3. actually it was a prowler ;) it was a good loot but i have seen better :D
and actually i have gotten a 439 ped caudatergus puny hof.. lol :D 3 pec to kill, 439 ped in loot
lucky loots like that happen, but monsters with monstrous HP carrying loot in less than 1 kill of 5 is really REALLY wrong (and as i said, it's not a one-time thing, i have killed them many times before, and the results are always the same... )

so im not really whining about the economic balance in the game. it is what you'd expect from a casino-like game. im not saying EU is a casino, but it's quite obvious that the wager/reward system has more similarities with casinos than differences. it's just that one particular mob that really needs to have it's "no loot"-frequenzy changed

  4. I remember seeing that Cauda, it was yours?! In that case keep hunting the first-mates and ill try a prowler ;)

  5. if you saw it a couple of months ago it might have been mine ;)
but puny hofs/globals happen every now and then, they are more common than one would think :)

as for the first mates... they can lick my dirty carpets after i cleaned my muddy shoes on them ^^ i've had enough of them. but they really need to have a look at the loot on those, not for me, i am done with them, but for other people who think about trying their luck with one of them skinny maggot-eaten clowns (oh man, ever since i became a father my insults are very child-friendly.. lol)

  6. LOL, the pictures you are painting in my head. Sounds like a good mob for Planet MJ.

I'm not saying it's so... but, if it were possible to increase the number of 'no loots' for a creature (thus reducing the overall typical loot), there might be a corresponding increase in the value or number of 'special' loots. of course, the over-time totals value is the same - it just is distributed differently.

thus, you would have a creature that loots terribly most of the time but appears to 'global' more frequently. this would show up in any of those tracker programmes (or people would just see it in the global spam). if the creature was unique to a particular area and said area was identified in the spam, it would make for some nice advertising and give the impression that these creatures were 'hot' and that area was 'the place to be'.

  8. Pirate Firstmates do have a high average global value on tracker compared to the other pirate maturities. Guessing that is why they have so many no loots.

  9. you see sea artist globals and hofs all the time, but you dont see first mate hofs and globals nearly as often, so i dont think the globals pay enough to justify hunting them.
with sea artists you can bring enough ammo to hunt till you get a hof or global, but if you try the same thing with first mates you will most likely end up with nothing but a huge hole in your pocket

  10. I have extensive experience hunting pirate skeletons and firstmate mob numbers in game are far lower than other maturities. That goes for both hunting spots. Hunting only them must be tough unless a recent update has increased their numbers.
