Planet citizenship, a poll (on EF)

Maybe you could consider creating a poll here too. EP has a huge number of readers.


EF is not all-planet, is outdated, is not community-orientated but purely commercial, is feature-poor, has no editorial content, has sold its user-base, has sold the content the user-base created for the PED the user-base deposited... so why using it...

EP staff is spending hours each day on improving EP forums, wiki, tools,... and delivering articles, interviews and news. A little bit more support would really be motivating. Support in respect of not only taking what EP has to offer but also contributing to EP. EP can be our forum, where content is free and open and created for us, the community, instead of for someone who doesn't give a shit about the community and is solely interested in squeezing money out of the community.


Personally I think one should have the option to be a 'citizen' of as many planets as you want. This could for example depend on on which planet(s) you have property, or on which planet(s) you spend your PED, or of which planet(s) you hold 'shares' or all of these options.

The rule that X % of the PED you spend end up at the PP where you registered your account has advantages and disadvantages. Maybe it would be good to make that X a variable depending on how long you stay on a planet. If one doesn't return to his planet of origin for 1 year it is indeed questionable whether that PP should still get X % of the PED someone spends on another planet.
