Got a text from a friend about this last night, not played it yet (downloading now) but watched some vids and it looks like it has a ton of potential!

    downloading as we speak

  5. I tried downloading the client, but 'download manager' was displaying 9-10 hours?? Contacted my ISP and they said that my download speed was OK - so now I'm going to sign up to Planet Explorer's forum and ask what is wrong... But the game looks real interesting and I can't wait to play it...

I had it downloaded pretty quick, but it is about 2GB.
So far it just has the single player option and you can kill some creatures and hack down some trees

I set it downloading this morning it was going to be some time but not excessively long. So talking to ISP maybe not a bad idea. I've not installed it yet... maybe at the weekend now as out a lot at the moment... I just bought "Dear Esther" too.

oh I find a good test for download speed is always nvidia drivers. They tend to max out speed. (bear in mind my speed is 5mbit.... on a good day)

  10. My ISP did some checks using speedtester.bt.com and the download speed was ok, so then I tried registering with Planet Explorers so that I could post on their forum but got msg saying you are not authorized to access this server, so in the end I just sent them an email and now waiting for their reply - coz I'm not waiting even two hours for it to download :p

  11. Gratz, which download link did you use - maybe I just picked the wrong mirror site.

They have a kickstarter now. It seems after it ends there won't be any more free versions unless you are in the beta.

Pretty pleased they are going for this. Hoping it will give them what they need to make it great. Particularly like that its about raising cash for icing on the cake rather than the meat and bones of the game. I think that is pretty good.

Yup, gave it a spin and so far like what I see. Nice to see it on green light with Steam.
