Quick prenewbie question

Anyway ... yesterday I managed to play some more, not as much as I wanted, but enough to finish the missions at the Gateway. Now one question: I was teaming up with some guy to do the hunting missions. We had to hunt 10 critters, whichever kind we liked. Now, we really were teamed up in an ingame team, not just running around together, but if we attacked the same mob, then it would not count towards the number of kills needed, neither on my count nor on his. Is that normal?

 

Hm, interesting. So the team is actually just splitting loot?

 

Hm, maybe we didnt check properly. I'll have an eye on it from now on. It would really be bad to have nobody get the kill. I can understand that not both are getting them ...
