haha I once installed Blender as my work mate said it was great and I should learn it....

It had a VERY interesting bug....

everytime I moved the mouse, the entire interface "smeared" across the screen... buttons, dialog boxes the lot... it was ah... "pretty" but I couldn't even begin to start using it :D

Still, looks like very cool art work! Have you seen the Animation Sintel on youtube? Its ace and made in Blender.

I want to learn 3d but so far I've only have a chance to make a small start in Sketchup

  3. I am still very new to blender, these are all done with the helpful aid of tutorials (which are fantastic)

The real trick with blender is knowing all the processes, which is no small task!

The hardest part (at least starting out) in blender is that nothing is intuitive, everything is done with keyboard shortcuts, and the menus don't seem logical to a beginner. (I assume once you have done it for a while that it becomes more logical?)

  5. On a basic level, you can maniuplate objects via the 3d viewer and the text based menu's at the side of your screen. Some more advanced systems require more know how, but really I find it an enjoyable experience through how easy the tutorials are to follow.

I will upload a couple water scenes I did as some tests with the liquid functions, and I have to say, for the effect you get it's amazingly simple
