Posting this Poll in conjunction with the same idea in game poll. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/threads/in-game-budgeting.9324/ If you stopped earning any money today, how long would you be able to pay your bills while maintaining the same lifestyle?
I always try to keep at least 1 year of bills and extra for things like car troubles or house repairs. I am currently in a situation where I couldn't work for over 2 + years and counting. I still have not been paid for 1.5 of them from the insurance company. (WBC) I still had some money left for the bills. Plan ahead because you just never know what life will bring you.
I could go about 9 months if I spend the same money a month as I do now, with a little less I can go up to a year I think, maybe even more.
In the Netherlands you always have a income, social welfare they call it. So in a sense you can survive for eternity in the Netherlands without a income. Always spend all my money and have no reserves of it, still I could pretty much survive just by starting not paying bills, like millions of others... My lifestyle is pretty much not expensive so I good here on the moment.
