You should be able to ride on pets, maybe they could be trained to level 4 then if they are big enough, saddle up! Once that happened a few more melee weapons of the lance variety and we could go jousting.
Even the Daiks or Exa's. Perhaps even a trox!!!! I want a trox mount!!! Id train my butt off in taming skills. Pet prices would go through the roof. I mean even mindark would make money since more neutrio bars would be consumed!!! Great Idea!!!
It's always been my opinion that this is what MA intended for pets, as you can do this in many other MMORPG's. I get the feeling that after the first pets release, they thought of how to achevie this, and other vehicles, and probably found that the existing engine made it a lot of hard work. I say this because not long after the cryengine announcements went out and all work seems now to be heading towards this. This advanced engine probably allows much more in terms of object interactions in the VR so therefore became the strategic enabler of the stuff that MA wanted in the game. If this is true then this is probably the BEST time to start skilling your taming etc. skills for when the price boom happens - then you'll be well fixed to make a mint from your skills :)
