Your dream of being able to enjoy portable 3D gaming might come true a bit earlier than expected, as the word on Game Street is that the Nintendo 3DS will be blowing minds and eyeballs this October. British gaming site Computer and Videogames reports that sources in the know have it on good authority that Nintendo will deliver its next iteration of its madly popular handheld device well before the end of the year. This is of course unconfirmed at this point, so keep that in mind. If it is true though, it definitely makes the end of 2010 one mad, mad, mad, mad time for new fangled gaming tech, as Sony's PlayStation Move and Microsoft’s Project Natal will be releasing then as well. And actually, pushing a portable, glasses-less 3D device while your competitors battle it out to see who will take the silver in the great motion control race might not be such a bad position for Nintendo to be in. Because once again, they will be just enough ahead of the curve to make a splash. How big the splash will be this time remains to be seen. Chance this rumor is true: 68.43 percent.
