Site rules

Here at EntropiaPlanets.com, we highly value freedom of speech, but we also realize that such freedom comes with responsibilities. Considering the majority of the intended player base is of adult age, we feel our users are perfectly capable of deciding themselves what is acceptable, and what is not.

In order to streamline things a little, we came up with a few basic rules. These are meant to ensure that the work that both we and the community put into this site will not go to waste due to a few bad apples. We intend to keep the site Safe for Work (SFW), in order to ensure that even when you find yourself bored at work, you can still be a part of the community without all kinds of weird alarms going off in the IT department.

Whenever we or any of the staff should feel the few rules that we have are broken or stretched, a moderator may step in. Repetitive breaking or testing the limits of the rules might end in the suspension of your account.

You hereby agree not to:

* Flood or spam the site, or any user/member/owner/trained monkey of the site
* Harass or troll other members of the forums.
* Threaten other users of the forums.
* Glorify or boast about illegal acts and/or substances.
* Provide instructions for or links to illegal or otherwise harmful activities.
* Transmit or knowingly receive information related to (or including links to) racism, pornography, pirated software or counterfeit goods.
* Post chain letters and/or pyramid or Ponzi schemes.
* Post in any languages except for English.
* Use the site to advertise and/or peddle goods, other than those related to the virtual world(s) being discussed on the site. This also applies to affiliate programs.
* Attack other forum users because of a picture of themselves they posted. Nobody can help the way they look, and not everybody is as sexy as us.
* Reveal or publish any information that was given to you in a private way (like a private message), unless all parties involved do not object to this information being shared with the community.
* Try and compromise the security or accuracy of the site, or any of the information available on the site. If you are caught hacking (or trying to), or using inappropriate or illegal Internet activities, we will aggressively pursue the interests of both the Website and its users. This may include, but is not limited to notifying your Internet Service Provider (ISP), or in extreme cases, the appropriate legal channels (Police, FBI, Cousin Vinny).
* Post information with the intent of having another member of the site personally identified in real life.

As a general rule of thumb, try and treat others like you would like to be treated yourself. We also encourage you to discuss all aspects of the Entropia Universe and its planets, both positive and negative, though in the latter case, we ask you to do so constructively. We are hoping that MindArk will be able to attend this forum as well without finding themselves kneedeep in negative banter.

Your responsibilities as a user of this Website (this is where we legally cover our ass):

* You may be held legally accountable for what you say or do online. In particular, you may be held liable for any defamatory comments, threats and untrue statements or other illegal or fraudulent claims made by you.
* You may be held accountable for any breach of the rights of a third party if you have not obtained their prior consent to the use of their property.
* You agree and warrant that you will comply with the terms of any agreement required by the owner or licensor of any intellectual property rights as may exist in all software and information you access or post via this website and to indemnify EntropiaPlanets.com against any action or cost suffered or incurred by EntropiaPlanets.com as a result of a breach by you of this term or any other terms listed in this agreement.
