Wasn't sure to put this here or in Tips & Trix, or if this is common knowledge, but with that said here is something I discovered: When skilling up on either color or texture I didn't notice a difference (when it came to skill increase) between coloring with 10 cans or 100. I would color, bleach it, color, bleach it, etc. I would do the same with the texture, but as of yet need to sell off some auctions before I can afford the texture bleacher. But anyway, you can get in a whole lot more colorings ie skill bumps by using 10 or less cans of paint. And I also found out if the item is fully repaired you get back 40% of the TT cost of the paint. I hope someone finds that helpful :ok:
Thank you Anna, After reading some I saw someone say that it is anything above the cost of what you are coloring. I haven't taken the time to do any tracking, but on of these sessions I will crunch the numbers Not that an exact number is all that important, but what else do I have to do while I color, bleach color, bleach, color, bleach....
AAAHhhhh I started a post last night, came back this morning to finish it. It was a big detailed thing about my 2 runs at texturing and the results. I knew better, I should of copied it all before submitting in case there was an error. But I didn't copy it and of course there was and error... Oh-well I lost it all, such is life ;) SO here is a much more abbreviated version, if you want details just ask :) Yesterday I made to Texturing Runs. The first each attempt was with 10 units of texture per attempt the second with only one piece of texture per attempt. I am trying to find the optimal number to use for the skill/time ratio. I didn't keep track of time, I was trying to sell shirts, or taking long moonlit walks with Cee looking for poo & berries @ stones, but I assume time would be equal since it is the same number of attempts. # of Textures per attemptTotal Text. Usedtotal costPEDs Recouped# of Skill messages 100100020.0017.00 :D63 11002.000 nada, nothin9 The skills that I received messages for were Color Match Texture Match** Tailoring Make Textile** Carpentry **These were the only two that came out of my 1 texture per attempt run Texture matching lead the pack with 27 of the 63 skill messages. So while the 1 texture per attempt yielded a higher skill to texture used ratio, in the same amount of time I received ~7 times more skill and 85% of the TT of texture (you were right Anna :) ). I expect the same results from coloring, but that will have to wait till I sell some shirts. If anyone ever wants to sell paint or texture let me know. So due to the time/money ration I plan on using 10 pieces per attempt. I may give 5 per attempt a go, but we will see. I have the spread sheet if anyone would want the nitty gritty deals of which skill messages occured when, just let me know
