I'm noticing that there is less chatter on the forum, mostly due to their being less to be excited about. Meg, Mr. Post, care dropping something out there to get the excitement level up a few notches. NILife is starting to feel more like NICemetery. Just a little tidbit to get people interested again. Just a vague hint at some upcoming content. It just appears to me that people are loosing interest in taking part on the forum and I don't think it would take much to get them talking again. After all, positive forum chatter can be one of your best selling points. A few people have tried to keep this place alive and positive but we as the players can only do so much. A hint, or even a riddle, of upcoming content/fixes/events should improve the mood. Also if Mr. Post could drop by once every now and then that could go along way. Even if it's just to state the obvious. I mean look at ND on the RT forums, posts to say BP's got "nerfed" and they will be out asap. He really didn't say anything great or inspirational but it changed the mood of that thread around for the better. Sorry Meg, your doing a great job but I think a little more community involvement would go along way. For that matter it's no real secret that you have an official avatar, lets hear from you as a player and not just as a PR rep. Anyone else agree with me?
that's what i've been saying for months :) and most of the people that are still active on the forum say so too. NI is awesome, but the customer relations is extreamly bad, and they have and will continue to lose customers because of it. there is a reason why ex-NI supporters post on other forums telling people "don't go to NI" i hope the responsible people open up their eyes soon, for their own sake and ours
I should note there are suggestions in my OP. A bit unorganized, but I was "thinking out loud" with it. It's not just a "useless complaint without suggestions" as someone was nice to send me in a PM :)
I think it would be nice, if the planet owners were a little more interested in the community who are actually using their product. this is not to say they aren't, but they show little evidence of it. however, it's difficult to say what could be done. to some degree, I'd rather have nothing said than to read a bunch of empty promises.
Actually the reason for most of the quiet is that Meg and Post have had a busy few weeks with trade shows and stuff. I think SXSW is going on right now so I am sure things will get more active next week.
Trade shows are a necessary part of business, like it or not. The NI staff doesnt exactly have an official forum -- the most obvious reason why would be a lack of resources to commit to a full time forum with all of its expectations. That being said we will hear from them when we hear from them.
