I'm really thrilled about this. It's been a very long time since my Soc was in Tracker's Top Societies lists at all. Last Summer, indeed , the Soc almost died and I was sorely tempted to move on To start with our tale of woe, we had two vanishing leaders in succession, in 2008 and early 2009. Then there was last year's usual summer slump in activity, which meant it became a rare event for 3 members to be online at once. and THEN vu 10.0 hit. Aaaargh! And we were left without even enough active members to vote a new leader in, for some time. But then, somehow, in slow drips and drabs, old members struggled their way through the twisted remnants of their fried computers, back into EU. I got elected as leader (after waiting some months for the votes to pile up) A few reckless new people fell for my irresistable charms and signed up :D The old ones continued returning. But we still didn't have more than 5 members globalling in any given trade at one time...well not amongst those who'd signed up with Tracker. Then, yesterday, i finally persuaded our old mining junkie, Vesp to sign up with Tracker, and - hehe- his solitary hunting globie for this month tipped the scales. We're in the Top Hunting Socs list! At a creditable no 38 :) Well done , guys :) Looks like we came through , after all :) jay :) (expansion on original post on EF)
