Golden Carriage Awards - The catwalk for cars! Ever since the introduction of vehicles to the Entropia Universe, it wasn't a matter of IF there would be a beauty contest for vehicles, but more WHEN it would take place. And that is exactly what happened today, as close to Fort Zeus, the Golden Carriage Awards took place. An event organized by Meculus, from BIG Industries, participants were encouraged to show off their coloured and customized vehicles, and possibly win one of several prizes. The overall winner would receive a fully armed Meginggjord tank, donated by First Planet Company, as well as a Valkyrie MK1, skillfully coloured and textured with Ganganite and Generic Leather texture, courtesy of Summer's colouring and texturing service. The runner up would receive a Saehrimnir MK1, donated by the Death lords society. The same society also donated a Valkyrie MK1, which was to be given away randomly. Finally, the third place would walk off with 50 PED, donated by EntropiaPlanets. The team of judges consisted of kilya kilyabel maroucha, BILKO bibi OfTheRealm and Blastoise Meculus Yarlboro (all from society Odysseus Unbound) and Kalis Drizzt Aidellan and Xander Ex Wilkins (both from Death Lords). They went by the vehicles one by one, and each of the judges would give vehicle a rating between 1 and 10 (10 being the highest score). The results were then added together, and thus a winner could be decided. There was plenty of interest, with over 50 vehicles of every type, entering the competition. All of them were positioned in circle, providing a nice mix of boats, valkyries, Saehrimnirs, helicopters, hovercrafts and Pitbulls, though all of them were dwarfed by the mighty Megingjord, overlooking the event from the top of a hill, and serving as a silent reminder that heckling would not be tolerated. Judging took quite some time with so many vehicles, and by the time the judges were done, the sun had gone down. After some further deliberation, the following winners were announced: 1st place: Pavilon White Black's (a member of society Czarne Smoki) beautiful red Sleipnir MK2, coloured without the use of any textures whatsoever (pictured above). Unfortunately, by the time Pavilon was announced as the winner, he was no longer present, perhaps due to a misunderstanding. Should anyone happen to know him, please inform him that he should get in touch with Meculus to claim his prizes. 2nd place: Freelancer Wolf Curd Fleischer with a Jorgmund Boat with Ganganite (2) and Ribbed Velvet Fabric. 3rd place: Carlito Cal Brigante (Satan's Choice) with a Cornundacauda textured Saehrimnir MK2. The community prize, dubbed "pukie" went to a pink Saehrimmir MK1 (shown above on the left), textured with Ganganite and Ribbed Velvet Fabric texture, belonging to freelancer Wolf Curd Fleischer. EntropiaPlanets would like to congratulate the winners with their prizes, and Meculus with a highly succesful event. All in all, a fun event, that managed to generate quite a bit of attention (and a bit of lag, too!).

Very very nice event and some droolingly nice looking vehicles !!! I managed to get a few pictures before lag got me, so a big thanks to Larkin, who fastly offered his help and took some awesome pictures and uploaded them here, for me easy to grab and play around with in photoshop! Great team work, Larkin :) And also grats to the winners and to Meculus for making a great and fun event!
