Hi all! Let's start with the picture and do the talking later ;) Again, this is a concept but there's a 3D model of it, just FYI. I previously mentioned special, real-life weapon configurations; in combat situations, size does matter, be it barrel lenght or your own size as a target. The torso of this mechanic beast houses its pilot and acts as an armoured cockpit. Granted, it won't be the most comfortable... Vehicle? Mecha? Power Armor? Well, it's the sum of all three At this stage, the left arm weapon comes with its own attachment module; this means you can switch guns and also these guns are not mounted, but attached. Hope you get the difference ;) And yes, let there be holograms. Only one is visible in this shot. (Viperstrike was fiddling with the buttons and switches and turned some holos off...) So... This shall be the final entry for this Eye Candy series. Hopefully, it has surprised more than a couple of you, mates! It's not like I'm going to vanish in a *puff* of sulphur, I'm staying here for quite a while. Once again, your comments and opinions will be more than welcome. Cheers!
SWEET!!!!! :D and sad that this is the end of the show and tell!! ;) I love the idea of these "Mech's" out roaming around ready to fight!! :) Holograms ftw!! :bounce:
So we all gonna turn into tin cans :D oh and are you dure it's the end, have a look around office maybe there's somethign else u want to share ;) I know we are insatiable ..hehe
There's plenty of stuff 'round I'm dying to show you... But, well, there's enough time until planet Theryon is ready for you to land there for some more Eye Candy series ;)
I sure hope that thing opens up and you have to climb in it rather then just "right click: operate" =P Looks bad-ass as is though ;) Will this be "Theryon Wars" planet only? Or will it be able to be transfered to other planets? (Hoping it's grounded on TW)
Looks great Ordaz :) LOL, how did you know I was fiddling with the buttons, I thought you were all asleep then You know, so far from what I have seen (Its still early days) I may have to pack my bags in advance of launch. OH BTW !! Slightly off-topic - Will you guys be making an attractive entry to launching your planet. Such as Arkadia did with giving away (To be found - hunting, mining & crafting) real life items ? eg. New computer systems and/or gizmos ? Cheers, Viper
The current method for vehicles is 'operating' them; time will tell if we can improve the 'climbing' aesthetics, I too believe it would be great. Not yet sure if this kind of equipment could be transferred, but our first opinion is it shouldn't. I'm not in charge of that kind of actions atm, but there's a pool of such initiatives... months ahead from release ;) Ha! Anyone becomes a robotics/cybernetics critic when spotting a minor glitch! :D ED209 was not manned, it was a robot. This stuff of ours is manned, which means... we'd better watch out for sadistic behaviors! Muito obrigado! Off-topic: I haven't met many Spanish- or Portuguese-speakers in EU. There are those who consider us mythological creatures like dragons and unicorns... But we are there! You can't say I don't keep an eye and drop by here, true? :p
> Hello Ordaz, i like this path of development, its a good picture and very interesting . It reminds me of that scene worship in 'Aliens' 1986, with the hoist. It was taken recently in 'Avatar' with the 'war machine' 2009. There is certainly an ingenious cocktail something to do, its sure ;) >
LOL Ordaz! Just don't use any parts built by the security division of Omni Consumer Products and you'll be fine. :) I think the additional holograms you mentioned... I presume for nav, suit status, etc, will be cool!
I still can't figure out what they could be... They seem so alien to our current EU so I guess must be related to some kind of new system
That was one of my biggest hopes when I heard new PP's were coming onboard. Having more minds work on EU might be the best thing for EU as they may be able to bring in new and exciting systems!! :)
I can't wait for more, looks incredible so far. I know there's lots of time yet, so I will (have to) patiently wait for more. Good solid base so far, can't wait to see how it all works out! :)
I wish Ordaz was still around, because he's quite the individual. Wherever he is, and whatever he is doing, I wish him well, and I hope that sometime in the future he'll check in to let us know he's hanging in there.
