Mark your calendars and set your alarms. Next trade fair is this weekend. Stop by if you can. Still need buyers, the more the merrier. Hot topic right now is Next Island's update planned for mid-June, maybe even June 14th!

Date: Sunday, June 12th [early Sunday in Europe; still the 11th, Saturday evening in the U.S.]
Time: * 01:00 EUT [check your local time in comparison to Entropia Universe Time, using command U]
Location: 136388 83763 (West wooden platform near ** Crystal Bay teleport)

    * Time may change slightly to help accommodate some people's schedules. Will edit/update this thread if any changes occur. :p
** Crystal Bay is the new name for the previous Crystal Resort Beach Lodges

    Hope to see you there!

Okay...as many of you are aware...Entropia Release 11.10.4 brought some changes to our Next Island world, including names changes. Crystal Resort Beach Lodges is now simply Crystal Bay. Nice.

During and after this June 12th trade fair, I need for the community to re-assess the need of the fair given the limited economic stimulus tools in place in our world to help people reinvest in this wonderful Next Island planet. I also may want to go explore Ancient Greece, however I'll wait till this fair is finished before making a decision to go over with some society mates.

  4. I should be at the fair but may have a real life event get in the way. I am currently looking to buy a full TT Manis, full set of male gnome for under TT+10, and a set of 5a plates. If anyone has any of these bring them to fair and I will pay in peds.

Going to put the whole trade fair thing on hold, mainly due to the up and coming Space release (want to get in some quick traveling before then) AND I want to discuss involvement by others who may be willing to play a small role as buyers. With the new changes, not sure what the monetary dynamics may bring to our island home. I'm sure many people will continue to explore ways to help strengthen our economy based on the resources we have here on Next Island...and now Ancient Greece too!

  6. Well, I am a newbie and have not enough knowledge to post. But I wanna ask about bit more
about the island world. Will it be only imaginary or real and if I would like to visit it, what will be scene?
    regards

Hello Marten. If you are on Next Island (NI), you are on perhaps the most beautifully designed world within the Entropia Universe. The planet is great for exploring, swimming, hunting, mining, and having an opportunity to time travel to Ancient Greece. Crystal Arrival area is a great place to begin. Talk with the Non-Player Characters (NPCs) to get an idea on what you can do in that area.

Most people on NI are really friendly and helpful, however with the recent changes to the Entropia gaming platform (adding space travel/stopping planet to planet auctioning/stopping planet to planet teleporting), these changes have put a real crimp on how Next Island's population could exist using the gaming economy.

That said, you may notice on Next Island a sparse population of people, all of whom have made choices to explore other planets for the time being until Next Island can introduce some changes to its world--changes that will help people use the many native resources on NI.

For some this may seem like harsh advice, but I suggest if you can take up temporary residence on either Arkadia or Calypso, planets that are somewhat more mature in their gaming economy, thriving populations, and opportunities to grow your character.

Where ever you choose to stay, find some friends, seek out a society of like minded people, and keep the game play fun.

I wish you the best in the Entropia Universe. And for many of us, we truly hope changes are introduced at some future time on the Next Island planet so the economy can grow, and slowly the population will build again. That is our hope.
