It has already passed about three weeks that Greece is burning like hell...We have lost more than 1/2 of trees in Greece...About 70 people have died and 200 and more are missing...I attached some pics that show how the weather is like here in Piraeus, the sun looks like sunset all the time and the colour is orange about 12.00 pm. Many times it rains ashes not water...It is just tragedy...The only confort is that they cought some of the people that they did this thing and i hope they die painfully as many rear species of animals burnt alive and many protected forest dissapeared...
I'm very sorry and feel badly for you guys out there in Greece and hopefully the fires will come to an end swiftly. . . . .
It is totally unthinkable that people are actually this cruel. I have read that other countries are sending in firefighters to help extinguish these fires. I hope you and all your family are safe and well out of the path. Things will be lost that are irreplaceable and I agree that if these people are responsible they should meet a slow and horrible demise. I would think breathing mask are necessary. My thoughts are the same as Bunny - I hope you are safe and well, and that this madness will end soon. Sadly it will take a loooong time to recover the forests, and other things have been lost forever.

It realy is a tragedy. I've been to Greece many many times and love the nature and people very much. When I heard there was a heatwave in the beginning of juli I knew like all greek people there would be some fires. Luckily it wasnt that bad, but after two other heatwaves and some sicko's this dissaster is getting worse. I don't know the building rules but I heard on the tv that where there is forrest you can't build and where there was a forrestfire building is possible. Sadly some IDIOTS!! (sorry for my strong languages) think that this is a thing to use to make some money building and selling houses. I hope that the greek gouvernment will addapt this rule and will make those crazy people pay. I really feel your pain altho I don't live in Greece. I hope the weather will change and the fires will die.
