Two dumb questions.

go to a teleport and simply choose it. instead of Calypso at the top of the map choose something different. like Crystal palace or CND. A message will pop up telling you that you have to pay for it. As far as I remember there is no storage available.

 

Yes there's a drop down menu at the top right when you click on a TP.

There is storage available at CP, but for CP only so you will need to take stuff out before you leave for Calypso again.

 

There is a storage on CND also :)

 

This reminds me a bit of the first time I logged in after the creation of VU.10. First I couldn't find any hangers and couldn't understand why . Then I went to Athena Spaceport thinking as the name suggests that they must all be there, only to find that there was nothing there accept the TP and some odd looking structures. Then, another AV there told me I could TP to CND or rocktropia or cp, which was all well and good. Except two days later I discovered that you can tp to anywhere from any tp . In other words, I could have got to CND from the tp place I started at when I first logged in an hour previously.

 

Yep, the storage is local to the area you are in. I remember the first time i went to CND, i dropped about 700 peds worth of ore and put it in storage. Blew my whole ped stack bar the 25 ped i needed for teleporting.

Teleported down to twins to sell up, figuring i'd pop into storage at twins and retrieve the ore...

Imagine my suprise to find i couldnt get it and now had about 30 pec left to my name, so i couldnt get back to CND to get the ore until the end of the month when i could depo...

That was a long month :o

 

Lol well and truly caught out!

 

This catches out alot of ppl, even those that know this happens from past experience. It can be so easy to forget this little factor if you've been on CND or rocktropia a few days and hunted all manner of mobs and done other stuff. It would be nice if MA gave you a warning when you go to a tp to get back to calypso or wherever, saying that you still have things in storage...

 

From calypso to rocktropia and back 80 PEDs; to CND or CP 100 PEDs for each mistake. They prob' make more out of this than the auction fees
