. Where were you when Steam was giving away this game for a few bucks? When me and and a couple of other guys were downloading this game for the price of a Beer, what the hell were you doing? You might have missed out on something very very special. And we are all sorry for you. Mirror's Edge is an innovative platform/FPS/puzzle game starring an asian female athlete with ugly shoes jumping for building to building regardless of the endless perils that one might face when falling off a 100 story building. What more could you ever want from a game? For starters, I would have REALLY appreciated more of a decent story line and less of the awful cut scene animations. The quality of the mid-game animations is mindblowing. You will literally blow away your mind with a revolver after you spend two whole minutes watching disguistingly ugly cartoon animations of ugly people telling an ugly story. But who cares? The game's awesome! And that's no joke! If only I had the time do to in real life what this game allow you to do! Things such as running from roof top to rooftop and walking on walls horizontally so that you can roll at high speed past a police man with a semi automatic rifle and slamming his well rendered face on your round and loving knee as you grab his gun and blast away his collegue and leave both men lying on the floor wishing they never left their respective houses to intercept and ugly woman running amongst the clouds. No commas and punctuation. This game doesnt give you any time for commas! Sometimes, you just want to die at the end of a fighting sequence just to do the same bit again. Sometimes you just want to die, literally, because you've been doing the same bit 40 times and you just cant figure out how the hell you're supposed to get out of a certain spot. But hey, you'll get it one day or another. Do you need an Xbox Controller? NO! You need a.. ... spacebar! I've been reading a lot of negative comments regarding controls. Bovine feces. Controls are just fine and very keyboard friendly. If you have enough keyboard skills to use microsoft's notepad, you'll be doing just fine. If you need a controller to play this game on your PC, most probably you'll need someone to whipe your butt BEFORE you become senile. Graphics are all you care about? Good for you, because they're pretty. Lighting is well developed and buildings and details are actually well defined. But is this game worth your money ? Yes. But it was much more of a deal when you could have purchased it at €3,74. :p My score: 8.0/10
