Well, it happened: Ulla Braun - better known as "Jamira" - moved back from from the sci-fi-world Entropia Universe to the middle age fantasy world of The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim. Balance so far: Withdrawl from EU ~75.000 PED, costs TESV 250 PED. Character: level 55 melee warrior (including 100 blacksmith, 100 Twohand, 100 Onehand ...) Hobbies: Still estates and clothes and enjoy life - swimming pools ;-) This part will become probably more important to me than all this PE/EU issues during the next months. Even more important than the 3D-print-model of that Pitbull. I plan to write a small comicbook about how to become such a satisfying character in Skyrim. I think it's a good choice to sit and wait until MA becomes rational. Probably this will never happen ... but it's worth a try. I just re-activated my old "Comic Life 2" license at Plasq. Probably I will upgrade to #3 soon ... let's see ... For those of you who search for an alternate to that very expensive EU it may become a nice little guideline for wide satisfaction. Warning: I will never become an "Alice" Braun for Skyrim. All I will do is to tell how it works for me.
Well, let's have a break and remember what happend so far ... 2001 Planet Earth. Little son Benjamin comitted suicide 2003 Planet Earth. Deep depressions. Heavy medicines to fight against depressions. 2005 Planet Calypso. I booked a passage to Calypso. A new life as colonist (without medicine). 2014 Planet Calypso. Really pissed off of the changes and bugs happened during the last five years. Most gear, apartments and clothes sold. Passage booked back to ... uhm ... Earth? Dunno, Elder Scrolls even ;-) 2014 Skyrim. Hang out at (improved) Breezehome at Whiterun close to the not-bugged fireplace. Relaxed. Satisfied. Halfway good skilled Dragonborn. Account ~430.000 Septime (Gold). I can kill nearly everything and everyone in Skyrim if they ask for trouble. Finally I got this crazy ringmail armour - lol. I will tell you more later. For now it may be enough to see me relaxed. Really relaxed.
A sidenote to Elder Scrolls Online: They (Bethesda) ask for a monthly fee. That was the reason to quit my beta account without buying it. I don't know if they ask for more money for "special items" and such. After all I will wait for TES VI "whatever" I think ;-)
The MAIN DIFFERENCE! From the start the dev team of TES V offered the ability to modders - known from Oblivion - accsess to the developer kit. Thousands of mods are availible at Steam and Nexus meanwhile. Everybody is able to tailor the game. That was the reason for me to try it out. The tricky part is: we have professional modders at Skyrim as well as at EU. The difference is: At Skyrim one can dicide to use several mods or not. Mods are not allowed in EU. Well, the RCE woud restrict mods ... but ... afaik ... controlled mods would be an essential enrichment ... well, let's dream along ...
Appeareance. Well, I know many folks don't care for appeareance. I do. Skyrim uses some old 3D models for characters. But hey! Mods give you the chance to change this. From ugly to suuupahhh sexxxxxy ;-) Whatever you mean be "supersexy".
Well, I started with the installation ... let's see how good it works. EDIT: long post deleted. Check the PDF at the post next but one if you are interested in
Oh wait! Sure, this is the "Other Games"-section. Is it okay when I use it this explicite way? I mean it's a complete different game. Not really entropia-related ... But hey! Probably it could be helpful to addicted EU-suckers - dunno. I managed to terminate my addiction lately after nearly nine years ...
Well, no response ... I don't want to spam the EP frontpage with Skyrim issues for a long time. It's just a sugestion to everyone who quit EU already. When I am done with it, I will upload it to SkyrimNexus as well and don't spam EP anymore. Promised! Update!
Well, the PDF "Installation of Ulla's world" has been updated. That was really hard and time-consuming. But probably it'll be helpful to others who want to improve Skyrim. @McCormick, Wistrel and all the others: Did you ever try it? It's really really good for relaxing, believe me ;-)
LOL! I checked out PCF and am still here at EP. But all I can say is: "Goodbye and thank you for all the fish!". Like Yquem does. We are dinosaures. MA doesn't care for us anymore. We helped them with money and ideas, we were the cummunity! Alas, it's all gone. Even Narfi offers his stuff at PCF. Now let's take it over by a new generation. No worries, it's okay for me. I left it already. Although I miss it. It was really a good time! (Does anyone remember Nea Shaeffer? - lol) Considering that it is nearly impossible to sell items with reasonable value atm - not to speak about skills - I am pretty sure, that I made the right decesion when I left this ship a few months ago. I won't call it "sinking ship". But it's a very strange world now for me. I don't regret that I left it at the last moment ... at least from my point of view.
You will be back..You are making all these posts because you are fighting the temptation to come back :)
Probably ... ... for now I wait until someone attacks me at EL with Atroxes: Let's see if there will be any need to take actions. Conny doesn't really compete anymore. Nils is still on it. But he needs 1k more globals - lol! Tripper's last global is from May 2014 - like my last from April. And he would need more than 1200 Atrox globals. I think no one else get the balls to reach my results soon. However, I am not sure, but I think I am completely out. I don't own serious weapons and armour anymore - lol. Some jeans and Malachai Ash and such, yes, but nothing to cause damage with.
