Using Calypso Weapons on Arkadia

Discussion in 'Planet Arkadia' started by Flapman, Jun 5, 2011.

  1. I was wondering if anyone could answer this.

I made a pistol on Calypso and brought it with me to Arkadia. It seems that my skill advancement on the weapon is frozen. Do these weapons still advance on Arkadia?

    Thanks in advance,

    A

I have been using my Calypso items (weapons, tools and blueprints), and getting skills on Arkadia.

As you can see I am using a Calypso weapon, and you can see a rifle gain in the screenshot.
Hope this helps some, if nothing else its an excuse to brag about my global :p

  5. Hi Gang,

Yes, I get the skill gains too but the experience and skill levels associated with the weapon are not changing.

Example: On the pistol I am using my attack percentage has been on .3 / 20 for a long time. No advancement.

    I hope that makes sense.

Out of 20? If I'm not mistaking, it only ought to go up to 10. Do you have a screenshot? Just to make sure I know exactly what you are talking about :)

Amber Knightley I see dead people.

If you're talking about the hit/crit things that admin ask about, then these are connected to your profession level and the advancement in them slow down so you might not notice that so easy on the weapon stats.
If you open the skill window (K) then there is a star in the lower right corner of this window, click it and you'll open a window showing all your levels in the different professions. Here you can easily see progress...

good luck hope this is what you were looking for.

Is it possible you are using an SIB weapon that you aren't in the sib range for yet?

Check what it says for you for SIB hit and SIB dmg, it should say one of four things for each of them. (not yet, yes, not anymore, or never)

If it says 'not yet' then that could explain why skill gains arent affecting your stats on it, you shouldn't ever use a weapon that says 'not yet' on it for you.
(really I recomend ONLY using weapons that say 'not anymore')

like admin said though, it would help us to help you if you could post a screenshot of your stats on the weapon so we could understand what your saying better.

  9. Hi gang,

Thanks for the feedback. Yeh, I guess I will need to watch it for advancement when I cross the next skill threshold.

I will post a screenie when I get the chance. It was a Mann that I crafted. It was kinda nice since it started off right out of the gates at shots /minute of 75/75. :)

    Thanks again for everyone's input.

To further on the previous two comments, Hit ability typically relates directly to your professional level.

For instace, I have an unlimited, non-SIB laser pistol.

My Laser Pistoleer level currently is at 62, and Ranged Laser (dmg) is at 57.
My gun shows that I have a Hit ability of 6.2/10.0, and a crit hit ability of 7.9/10.

Hit ability of 6.2 is directly linked to Level 62 pistoleer.

The same applies to my FireForge.

My gun shows me having a 4.7/10.0 hit ability on it, and a crit hit ability of 6.9.
    I'm lvl 47 laser sniper.

  11. the mann you have is unL thus you need to gain 1 level for skill increase to reflect on your weapon

  12. Thanks for the feedback. That is very helpful info. I did not really understand the dynamics but do now. :D

I guess I better get cracking on that Mann then huh? :D

    Thanks again.

  13. Hi,

using a Mann pistol w/o the needed skill doesn't makes much sense. And the skill needed is beyond good and evil.

I'm using Mann Dlx for finishing sometimes. Not much costs, low dam, but quite fast. TT pistol might be better.

    Have a good time!
