I think you already just wrote it :D... I mean... you could add more... but bla bla covers it pretty well IMHO :D
But none of this hype, meaningless buzzword diarrhea, and sales pitch for the air you're breathing is unique to this company or product, whether in quantity or quality. Heck, they're breeding these people like insects in business schools. It's all around us, from shopping for necessities at the supermarket to your hitech gadgetry and everything else. And people react with disbelief or compassion (lol) when I tell them that I source almost everything I want from the aftermarket for a reason...
I think you hit the nail on the head. This manegerial speak is absolutely rampant on LinkedIn. Typically from clueless middle managers who try to hop onto whatever the latest trend seems to be. They all have 1 thing in common; they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. MindArk seems to be unique in this within the gaming industry, though. Most gaming companies focus on actually improving their game, rather than churning out worthless press releases. Unfortunately MindArk's management have absolutely zero idea of what running a gaming company is like; they're all business school ghouls, always have been business school ghouls, and the "game"/product shows the result of that.
Superb! Yes indeed, the world is very like that sunglasses scene from "They Live" these days. I hate it. I have a friend who went to Singapore Management University... the idea of a whole uni where people learn to be managers troubles me greatly... the idea that these places have a kickout every year where the whole intake try to get jobs... "What can you do? manage... okaaayyy..."
People get very confused when I tell them I'm not on Linked In. I've seen Linked In and the kind of corporate drivel people write on there... yuck, no thanks.
https://www.mindark.com/press/press-releases/documents/MindArk_AI_Research.pdf I use it as a glorified CV, more than anything. It has my work experience and my professional credentials on it, and I landed 2 jobs directly through job ads posted on LI. In several other previous jobs, I got headhunted based on my profile. Then again, my Facebook is primarily a way to keep in touch with people I know from the past, and 90+% of my activity there is just sharing memes. My twitter is also mostly inactive, and again primarily used to share jokes. I don't see the need for sharing every breath I take with the world. This whole social media is something I really don't understand, unless you're trying to sell or promote something.
Thanks. I'd missed the AI doc. Will take a looksee what they said. If I wanted another job / to be head hunted I might take the approach of creating a linked in profile... but I'd struggle not to be incredibly sarcastic and write something like: "I am genuinely useful. I can do and know things that will help you" possibly adding "best of breed" for comedy effect ;) ;) ;) Generally though, similarly I'm perpetually confused by what people do/share online. It seems no one applies the sensible rules: 1. Does this make me look bad 2. Can this be used against me 3. Does this help or is of use/interest/benefit to others? 4. Am I OK with anyone seeing this? It troubles me too that people don't seem to be aware that once something is online... getting rid of it is hard. Case in point way back machine and other aggregators.
I actually have an honourary title on my LI profile. From the Discworld novels :D (Doctorus adamus cum flabello dulci - which roughly translates into Doctor in Sweet Fanny Adams). Nobody ever asked or noticed, until last week my departing Project Manager used it in a team event. As for the sharing online, I rarely post anything personal. I'm also worried about stuff backfiring on me, and nowadays the risk of that is ever greater, with Woko Haram dragging in jokes that were made a decade or longer ago and in a different zeitgeist. I also catch myself self-censoring. Not necessarily because I want to, but I prefer employment over getting cancelled.
Yeah, I laughed so hard when I first read it. For those woindering, Sweet Fanny Adams. SWA. Sweet Fuck All. It's a typical Pratchett joke, multi layered, and once you see it, you cannt help but laugh out loud.
*bump* First post updated with new pic. MA: "first prototype of how a fully armored male character could look like". It's really, really early in development. I guess VU 20 is years away.
Thank you for compiling all these into one place. Looking forward to more teasers! Hope it does not take more than a decade to release :D
First video content, unfortunately shared in extremly lo-fi quality as 720x405 video in a vertical format badly compressed video file, it was impossible to make it much better. >
