where did all the armors go?

  1. yesterday and the day before that we got tons of armors all the time, and i have a very packed storage with armor pieces, but the last 12 hours or so i havent gotten a single piece of armor... is it just me or is it the same for everyone?

now maybe they changed things on the server, adjusted the loot... if they can do that (im sure they can) they can also add things to the loot.. like, say... a dragon heart? :) ok this last comment was just wishful thinking, but do you guys also experience that the armors have gone?

  2. Ya it appears the armour loot has slowed

  3. Same experience here. I looted 3 pieces of armor today and have about 100 pieces in storage from hunting yesterday. Most of the pieces are face guards and gloves, very low tt and low mu. On Calypso much of this armor would probably go to the tt but on Next Island we might find a way to distribute this armor to newer players without incurring auction fees.

Does anyone have ideas about the best way to handle this flood of armor? Perhaps an armor exchange day that would allow the newer players to acquire complete sets?

  4. I had the same experience.

Here's what I think has happened. NDS was authorized to give out a certain amount of armor that otherwise has been missing from the pool. This armor was distributed to NDS as a way to prop up the economies of the existing planet partners temporarily, but was likely not intended to replace armor local to the regions. Basically the planet partners only got the armor because it is otherwise unavailable on Calypso and could be used as a trade commodity to bring money back into the local loot pools that Calypsians had otherwise pillaged.

Its probably not 100% accurate, but if you at least use this as a starting point it may make a bit of sense. A complete distribution and regular spawn of these pieces of armor would have ruined the Calypsian economy. A temporary distribution simply clears out a bottleneck that had already existed and serves to placate vocal individuals both within the planet population and within the planet partners board rooms.

    Make sense?

Regardless I dont think loot can be adjusted on the fly, that is --- when the servers are actually live. Any adjustment requires a patch. A finite number of these items was likely released to the public, and those items were simply dumped out until depleted.

So far I have not gotten a single glove from Drakes like I did the day before...

Luckily I got a Gremlin Glove (low TT) But I actually needed that one... haha

  6. As a simple reminder: According to... everyone involved in the running and creating of planets and platforms, "all loot is regulated by MA". So it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with NDS, even if they are the ones being attacked at PCF (what a surprise).

The drop rate was obviously unbalanced and that's why it has slowed, like the drops of ES scanners on Rocktropia. At least they're still dropping armor parts and that's definitely a good thing :D

  7. I got a few pieces of armor again today, mainly footwear.
It may become an interesting trading part. If it continues that players out of different levels need each other to achieve something (e.g. time travel), all levels of players would need something, what has value to other levels.
