Thanks for the info, I will have to look into that disambiguation. Not sure how we can do that in an affective way for RT though. And yes we have three TPs with the same name, this is RT after all :) Now I also know where to look when I put some effort into updating the maps. I prefer better quality over increased loading time. This is where we should implement zoom levels ;) But my main problem with EP over all, not just the wiki is the poooooor loading times, admin?!?! So I tried to update the name of this TP, only succeeded halfway :( http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Nuclear_Blast_Bomb_Shelter And there are several more where I'd like to change the name, or do you prefer that I create new once instead?
I also just found this awesome page, http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Corinth_Area#Maps_and_locations I wonder who created that map picture right there, I really like it. But they Calypso main map is really hard to browse and it does far from cover the entire map, why? Is it an issue with viewing space? Zoom levels? ;) Btw I know it was discussed in the past about map api integration, I guess we never got somewhere with that?
You got there by clicking an icon on the caly map? The plan is to have one page per area, actually a guide to the area. The maps on area pages are supposed to have icons to go back 'up' to the caly page. PA area is proof of concept: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Port_Atlantis_Area#Maps_and_locations The map on the Corinth page is a dev map from Caly AB. I think it's not even showing the actual situation. But yes, it's a nice map. The Caly map does cover the entire planet but after you've dragged with the mouse the scroll bars don't take you to the edge of the map, you need to drag with the mouse again in that case. Probably would be better to remove the scroll bars completely!? Regarding map API, we are still waiting for the next major release for one of the API, probably will be released end of October/November. Then the plan is to compare them and use the one we are able to manage, lol.
That would mean you have to rename the actual page, something regular users can't do. I can help you with that if you provide me with the old and the new names I can just copy / paste And renamed the one you mentioned to http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Nuclear_Facility_Ghost_Town
Renamed the following, see name on the page in the information box http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Digital_Abduction_Outpost http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Biodome (capital D) http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Rocktropia_Research_Facility_(North_of_Zomhattan)) (accidentally added one ending parenthesis to many :() http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Bondabee_Beach http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:London_Blockade http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Snapper_Beach
Thanks, but don't work so bloody fast I can't keep up :D Tomorrow I will continue to mark the rest of the removed TPs as removed. After that we can create the TP maps for HUNT THE THING and HELL :) Hmm, never mind that might not be necessary after looking at the HTT page...
Something is weird! What RAZER did looks fine, but what Tass did is weird. Some things show up both with old and new name in TP list. And some things don't show up at all.
I tried clicking on the clock with no luck. Both these two lists are affected. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/ROCKtropia_Teleporters/Map http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/ROCKtropia_Teleporters i.e. both shows Camp Crunk + Digital Abduction even though the new name is Camp Crunk. And also the dots aren't showing up on the map...
I think fixed both issues are fixed now. ouble entries were probably caused by a job queue a little too busy, so the old entry wasn't changed in the db yet (and job queue is too busy because I was working on this ) And at least Camp Crunk is now showing on the map, anything else that's missing?
Thanks, I noticed yesterday. Missing is still, Gamgel and the 3rd research facility. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Bondabee_Beach http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Rocktropia_Research_Facility_(North_of_Zomhattan) These two are missing both from the lists and the map.
These two are also still missing, http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Snapper_Beach http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:London_Blockade I also made a typo correction for these two http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:B.A.M.F_Headquarters http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Docklands_Container_Yard I like it when the names resembles what we have in game. Hmm, what's next then? Well I'm not quite sure yet. Although a map with the mission NPC locations for RT as we have for Toulan would be cool and helpful. But I guess the data is a little slim and outdated here. It would be helpful though with such a map. But that data I wouldn't manage to fill in all by myself.
Not sure what this is supposed to be, they are both redirected right now, first to Teleporter:Isle of Lost Avatars second to Teleporter:Narfi Beach Done
The problem is that they (what they redirect to) aren't showing up in the TP lists. Like, http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/ROCKtropia_Teleporters/Map The once you renamed show up in the list but not the once Tass renamed so she had to do some hands on. And we missed these last two, they still need the Tass hand on...
OK but just to be sure these are the correct names: http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:Snapper_Beach http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Teleporter:London_Blockade and not Narfi Beach and Isle of Lost Avatars Sorry it is hard to get this right when you are not on RT :)
I actually was told about a work around the other day on how to view the map of other planets while not on them :) open the map through the Event interface. Neat little trick :) I just took the links that I had available in the posts here, didn't have time to figure out how to get the proper once. The correct names today are Narfi Beach and Isloe of Lost Avatars! Thanks! Everything looks fine now.
