If I copy the 'entropia universe folder' plus all DLL files for EU onto a USB drive, will I be able to run EU from that on another PC. I'm thinking of going to a lan meeting soon, hence the ask.
tried it and the client loader runs without a problem, but it starts to download all the content again it seems, so better do what I did in the past: copy the files to your usb drive download the installer from MindArk run the installer on the new PC when it starts to download stuff, stop it copy the files from you usb drive to the Eu install directory on your new computer restart the installation. you will not have to download all the data and it is a lot faster this way.
There's probably something going on in the registry. It will probably contain the location of the entropia data. That is why it restarts the download, if the files are on your USB drive (they're not where the registry says they are).
